Vacation rentals in Gilford Island

We had a lovely early September weekend stay at Svetlana & Kenneth´s place. Perfect spot to be tugged away from the business of the world: relax & ground under the beautiful big trees and tune into the everchanging ocean views. Rita’s cabin was charming: it was rustic but cozy & comfortable, and it smelled like cedar 😊. We enjoyed lighting the fireplace in the evenings after being outdoors all day. We also used the sauna (and had a few dips in the ocean) a great way to relax! Overall, the buildings and grounds were tidy, clean, and well cared for. Svetlana & Kenneth were friendly, easy to approach, and helpful hosts. We would come back again.

Great place with a beautiful view. Inside was clean and had all the amenities. Right on the water and secluded in the forest away from noise! One of my favorite Airbnbs I’ve stayed at so far. Lorrene provided clear instructions on how to find the place along with local recommendations which made my stay easier. Will definitely stay here again if I come back next year!

We enjoyed a 3-generation family getaway at this fabulous home mid-winter. It was perfect! With 2 kitchens, we were able to create celiac-safe meals in one of them. With 2 dining room tables, we had room to leave a 1000-piece puzzle set up at one of them. With the wood-fired sauna, and a firepit on the front lawn area, there was always a project for the 10 and 9 year old grandsons to learn about making fires safely. We rarely left the house! There were eagles, ducks, boats, and waves to watch.

Every morning, I woke up to the sounds of waves and the sight of a picturesque sunrise that took my breath away. The hosts were absolutely spectacular. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable, providing great local recommendations. Their hospitality made me feel right at home. The space itself was cozy and well-maintained, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing getaway. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with incredible views and friendly hosts, this is the perfect place! I can’t wait to return!

This is a charming and cozy little cabin that's got everything you'll need! This may be surprising, but, it's bigger than it looks in the pictures. It also came with some nice extras: tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. Plus duck eggs in the fridge! We hope to visit again next time we want to visit the area.

I was lucky enough to stay at Gord’s place for 3 weeks and I had an amazing time. The kitchen was VERY well equipped with all the appliances and cookware you can ask for. Very comfortable beds! The standout feature of this place was the amazing view of the ocean. I’d highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again if given the chance

Our group found this a fabulous place. It was well laid out and equipped both inside and out on the patio. Bruce was so considerate and made sure we understood how to get in making us feel very welcome. Cannot say enough, just great!

Exemplary accommodation with breathtaking views and a kind and responsive host, always quick to respond to queries. Take yourself to Alert Bay and experience this lovely place when you can! Steps from whale watching tour - and the grizzly bear trips will collect you here too. You don’t really need a car and the ferry is easy. Loved this place and would love to return with my extended family - thank you, John 🙏
