Vacation rentals with a patio in Giles County

Enjoyed staying at Kathleen's place for a weekend trip for a horse show at Virginia Tech. Was pleasantly surprised how quick and easy it was to get to the college. The townhouse is very comfy and quiet despite being on the end closest to the street. There are three decks/porches in the unit, which was nice. We really enjoyed being able to spend some time outside on the nice weather day we had. There are several shops and restaurants nearby, making it even more convenient. Kathleen was proactive in her communication despite being out of the country and in a completely different time zone!

The view from the property and house was spectacular!! What a great place and anything you needed was there , kayaks & paddles, tubes to float, fishing poles, grills, tables seating on the lower patio… I will be coming back if at all possible! The only negative is the large number of steps to get in the house (if you are older)….. but we literally were on the shaded patio or on the dock most of the time. Again just an awesome place!!

We loved staying in this beautiful home in this country setting that is so close to VT and town! Kelly was responsive and helpful. Would absolutely recommend and will be back again!

Great stay, plenty of room.

We stayed while visiting my daughter at VT. Yes, it is a 35-40 minute drive to the college but it is a nice, easy and beautiful drive and definitely worth it if you like to get away from the city atmosphere. This place was right up our alley as we love to be outside and not stuck in a hotel room. The inside is truly like a beautiful hotel suite with all the upgrades. We love that you can have a short conversation over the propane fire pit or a relaxing few hours at your wood burning fire pit. The big bonus is you can end your day in the clean hot tub. It was also great to wake up and see the cows in the field next to us in the morning. The projector tv is something we didn’t think we would use but turned out we really enjoyed it! Definitely worth the stay if you’re looking for a few days away from it all.

The cabin was as described, quiet, peaceful and comfortable. The house was clean, and the kitchen had great amenities. The outdoor fire pit was a plus, and the sound of the creek. This place is an absolute gem. We will be back!! Thank you Hannah and Kurt for a wonderful stay!!

Al was very responsive the couple of times I reached out. The fenced backyard was awesome for our 2 little dogs. A small dog bed (one of our dogs really liked it) and food/water bowls were provided. The bathroom has been recently updated and is very nice. The bedrooms are comfortable. There's no AC, but the house has a whole house fan (of which I'm a big fan, pun intended) that quickly cools down the house in the mornings/evenings. Very clean overall and quiet. The location can't be beat.

We were looking for a nice dog friendly getaway on the river and this hit the mark. It was great to relax on the big back lawn and splash around in the river. We walked over to grab tubes next door and enjoyed the float. The amenities are as described, certainly enough to meet basic needs but not "excessive" or "luxury" - and that's fine by me. We expected the train and beds as potential drawbacks - so were fully aware of what we were signing up for - and in the end it wasn't that bad. I'd be happy to come back for another visit!

Always enjoy staying at Stephen’s place. Private & peaceful and accommodations are very comfortable. Comfortable bed and cozy living area. Linens and towels are nice quality. Will be back!!
