We were a family of 6 staying in this beautiful Airbnb overlooking the river. The house was perfect, absolutely no complaints. Host was very responsive when I asked questions. We would love to stay at such a luxurious place again next time!

We had a wonderful stay at Takashi's place and highly recommend it to you. It had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. Takashi was responsive and helpful. The electric bikes were fantastic for our ride to and from Ghibli Park. I couldn't be happier with our stay.

Very friendly host! Super responsive and gave local recommendations. The stay is also quite good - the living room is really cute. Only issue was the bathroom door downstairs is a little broken because the door knob wasn’t functioning and you could lock ourselves out. But Mickey was super helpful and we got it resolved.

This was a great stay. We had a car so it was easy to get to Old town and also out of town for the key areas. The space was large and liked the auto entry keypad. Highly recommend for families or large groups! The Old Town is beautiful and food is great.

A modern living area features large glass doors that open to a private balcony, allowing natural light to fill the space. A dark sofa faces a textured area rug on hardwood flooring, while two accent chairs provide additional seating.

New and nice house. Detailed design and good lighting in the house. Provides Muji’s shampoo and body wash which very nice to use. The house is just beside the river and can enjoy Sakura view from the balcony. Walkable distance to all major spots like the morning market and temples. Love the environment and also provide free parking in front of the house. Host also fast responding and provide very clear instruction for check in. Definitely will comeback again.

We really enjoyed the house itself, as it was so very comfortable and perfectly located, but also the local restaurants. There is a great yakitori place called Iburu very close to the house, which I highly recommend. It was a little pricey but some of the best grilled chicken I’ve ever tasted. Also, a new coffee shop called Pinecone was a really nice discovery. They don’t open till noon, but the young owner is a fluent English speaker who loves to chat with the customers. He also sells a selection of craft beers (in cans) from around Japan. We bought those to take home and enjoyed drinking them at the house in the evening. A lovely 125 year old Japanese sweet shop is close by, too. And the hot springs! Finally, on our way home back to Shiga, we stopped at a little place called Ippei Sushi. The best sushi I’ve ever had. ¥2,200 for a lunch set fit for a king. You should get there before 11! All in all it was a spectacular holiday. We look forward to going again next year.

We had a great stay for 2 nights. We could access the room 3 hours before and received a wonderful apple tart as welcoming present. The host were very nice and pleasant and did their best to make our stay as great as possible. We even received help to rent a car and received great visiting tips. We highly recommend this place. We had 2 nights, dining in the place, feeling entirely at home in this wooden and warm environment. Surely our best place during our vacation in Japan.

This is a lovely traditional home in a small, quiet town, attractive to stroll around and admire. The house is spacious, comfortable, and well-stocked for a night or two with friends and/or family. It suited our group of five adults and two 12-year-olds extremely well. The fact that it has so many bedrooms is a significant advantage for groups that don't all want to share the same sleeping space, as is often the case at Japanese Airbnbs. The friendly hosts were waiting for us at check-in and gave us an extremely detailed tour and explanation of the property. There are not many services within walking distance, so we were glad we rented a car. We cooked dinner and breakfast, and found many useful condiments and spices in the kitchen. Really, the only disadvantage of this home is that it is rather expensive, but the experience of staying there is unique, making it worth the cost. Airbnb prices in general seem to be rising, so it is not dissimilar to others like it.

My family and I visited Takayama and stayed at kinone – seriously, this place is a hidden gem! It’s up on a hill with stunning views of the old town and surrounding nature. The moment we walked in, we were blown away. Every room was newly renovated, super clean, and beautifully decorated with a touch of classic charm. You can really tell how much thought went into the details. The kitchen? Fully equipped with everything you’d need – even spices and seasonings, so cooking was a breeze. The dining area overlooks blooming sakura trees, which made our meals feel extra special. Bedrooms were super cozy with soft pillows, comfy beds, and heaters to keep us warm and snug all night. And let me tell you – the bathroom wasn’t your usual basic setup. It came with high-end face care products, not just shampoo and body wash, but actual skincare and even luxury perfumes, all neatly arranged. Wonderful experience staying at Villa Mitoreya. It's not your usual Airbnb, it's a lot more. The house is amazingly built with beautiful views and Tsuyoshi was an excellent host. He was present to welcome us, he went out of his way to drive us to a nearby restaurant so we didn't have to worry about parking and having a drink. His breakfast were delicious with many small details. It was like having a personal chef at home. We really enjoyed the peaceful environment and watching the local train pass in front of the house. It was like being in a Ghibli movie.

They handled it very politely and I had a very comfortable stay.There were many furnishings and collections collected by my husband in the room that made it feel like the format, and the large garden was well-maintained.Nearby, there was also the Gifu Prefecture Museum, which is known for its hot springs and dinosaur exhibits, so we had a relaxing time.I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

For a trip of only 2 days, and I decided temporarily in Nagoya, I was not expecting anything, but because I chose one near the supermarket with a baby less than 2 years old.Now I really recommend this homestay through the actual experience, not only because his location is too convenient, there is a large supermarket about 50 meters, daily necessities, and everything to eat and drink.And there are quite a lot of restaurants around, and I looked at Japanese, Chinese food, Indian food, and Korean food.And his bus is right at the door, and I prefer the big house here than staying at Nagoya station that is small and can't rest quietly.About the house he actually looks and the photos online are basically the same, he has a green Jimny color in the photo, at first I thought the photo is a fake gimmick, the house should be a lot of difference, and the house should be a lot of difference, it was a surprise to find basically the same, but unfortunately Jimmy is not within the service.His home is super super, especially very friendly to the kids, he has a cabinet of toys and books, Chinese, English, Japanese.Children's tableware, children's chair, children's bed, cups are super bread, my son can't put everything down at all.My husband also drank coffee in the living room and ran to the yard for a morning tea, because we were really too tired in Osaka a few days ago and really had a good rest here for a day and a half.My dad is super complimented by the bed of his house, the old man has a problem with a backache, and it is difficult to turn around, he said that he is staying at his house and said that he is a famous Japanese figure skating world champion called Asada, a mattress that is used to relieve fatigue and easy to sleep on, where people go to take the race with them, and go back to give my father one, but his house as if only the master bedroom has 2 beds.In summary, for a person who is not a professional appraiser, it is already difficult to evaluate so much, but in fact, the reason why I spend so much time writing back is actually his home service. From the confirmation before check-in to the various information provided after check-in is very timely, I can always give me advice when I want to solve it, and especially when I want to solve it, my son has a fever at night I ask where they have sold a fever at night, they sent it directly to them for 15 minutes, and not only that we asked our itinerary for the next day. I gave out the schedule for the new line to go to Disney. Really super thank you in the🙏 future as long as I come to the old house always stay at his house

It was great to stay with 8 friends! I enjoyed a variety of things, including a barbecue, mahjong table, and poker.Full amenities were provided, and there was a system for purchasing anything that was missing, which was great.The host was also very friendly. However, the surrounding roads are narrow and quite steep, so you may need to be careful with large cars.

The house is a beautiful villa surrounded by nature, nature is part of the house itself which has large windows and a waterfall running underneath. The architecture is beautiful and the location is extremely peaceful, perfect for recharging after many days of traveling . We loved our stay, Ume-san was a great host and we will definitely be back!

Highly recommended. This is a beautiful, compact house in Japanese style located in a quiet side street 10 minutes’ walk from Nagoya JR station. Convenience stores and restaurants are just a few minutes’ walk away. The house sleeps 8 people comfortably, in two bedrooms of three plus a two person loft. All beds and rooms are in Japanese style with very comfortable Japanese futon. The house is finely crafted in beautiful unfinished wood with airy, high ceilings – a really pleasant surprise. All areas including bathrooms and kitchen are spotlessly clean. Bathroom is in traditional Japanese style. The kitchen is equipped for simple cooking. Electric kettle, tea and coffee bags are provided; you may prefer to bring your own french press etc. Highly recommended for a stay in Nagoya!

It is a very nice house. It is a bit noisy due to the nearly road and train tracks during the day, but it wasn’t too bad during the night. Definitely rent a car if you want to stay here, or get taxis to go into town, since the station is a good walk away. Once you get a car, accessing the mountains is a breeze and traffic is quite low. The host was amazing. She picked us up from the train station on arrival and dropped us off at the train station when we left. She also brought over some more bedding during our stay. I highly recommend this place, just be aware that if you are a light sleeper, you might not enjoy staying here. Overall it was in the right location to get a taxi into Inuyama to interact with the locals, and then drive around in the mountains.

Very large house in a quiet neighborhood of Takayama. Unusual in that it has both Japanese- and Western-style beds / bedrooms. Living room area next to kitchen is also a big plus for large groups. Super clean. Kitchen is well set up for light cooking. 10-15 minutes walk to Takayama station as well as to the scenic areas of town. Higly recommended for large groups - we had 10 stay very comfortably.
