A 375-hectare nature reserve with mainly forest, interspersed with heath, fens and sandy paths in Zelhem, the Green Heart of the Achterhoek. The perfect base for an adventurous hiking or cycling holiday or just nothing at all.

Vakantiehuis Schanszicht is a spacious detached house in Saxon style with wood stove, located in a small-scale holiday park with panoramic views over the meadows. Where the well-known forest dwellers, such as the roe deer and the squirrel, but also countless rabbits, are visible with some regularity. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature and the surroundings, on the edge of a beautiful forest.

Around Winterswijk, nature sometimes seems to have stood still. Here, the idyllic streams wind their way through the small-scale collising landscape with its bushes, fields, avenues, wood ramparts and Scholtengoed. In the farmhouse "Pasman" (1340 first mention as Bovekinck) used to belong to Kasteel het Waliën, we have realized a holiday home. Used old elements and applications of recycled materials in a modern jacket but with the comfort of today.

Forest hut in Winterswijk

Welcome to our cozy Boshutje. A wonderful place to relax and unwind among the trees and a generous private garden. Visiting many different bird species, squirrels and maybe a hedgehog at night. This is truly a place for nature lovers. Peace and quiet is also appreciated at the park, which is why we prefer not to host "party-goers". You have a lot of privacy even though the cottage is located on a parc. Parking is available at the cottage.

Kapberg

The Kapberg was completely newly built in 2019 and is fully equipped such as kitchen with boiler, built-in combination microwave and all standard necessities such as cutlery, plates and pans etc. Built-in radio, air conditioning, and stove are provided in the living room. Bathroom with underfloor heating, a toilet, a sink and a shower. Bedroom with a double bed. Outside there is a terrace with picnic table, BBQ available.

Depending on the season, you may spot wildlife passing by or enjoy watching the cows grazing in the surrounding meadows. This is the perfect spot for those seeking rare peace, silence, and unspoiled nature. The Tubbergen and Dinkelland region is well known for its scenic cycling and hiking routes.

Welcome to our renovated cozy forest cottage PAPERBIRD. The forest cottage is 45 m2 and is located on 1200 m2 forest garden and is suitable for 2 people. The tall windows in the living room give you a beautiful view of the garden. In spring and summer, enjoyment on the terrace. Until long in the fall, you can sit on the terrace with the outdoor fireplace on. In winter, it is super cozy inside by the fireplace.

Welcome to our cottage, in our place between Vorden and Lochem, opposite castle de Wildenborch. We (my wife and I, plus two small children) have been living here since 2022. On our property there is a comfortable vacation home (56m2) that we are happy to make available to singles, couples, couples and young families who want to get to know the green surroundings with Hanzestad Zutphen better.
