For the lover of peace and space. In the middle of the beautiful scenic landscape of the Westerkwartier is our farmhouse. We rent out the old chicken shed as a Bed and Breakfast. In the area you can feel free to go hiking or cycling. Directly at a junction route. Public transport and a supermarket are within cycling/walking distance. Drachten and Groningen are 15-25 minutes away by car. Leeuwarden is about 45 minutes drive. Breakfast package possible, preferably passed on before arrival.

For the 2nd time, I stayed at Logement Doosje. A nice place, wonderfully quiet. Ideal for us with our daughter. She can sleep well in her own room, while we have dined well in the restaurant of the B&B.

Close to Buitenpost is Tanja's Airbnb. It is a detached cottage, where we spent a wonderful night while passing through. It is a nice apartment in the form of a studio. It is unfortunate that living and sleeping area are not separated, especially in the winter .

We had a wonderful week. The house has all the comforts, including a very nice kitchen. Also nice was the sun in the front garden, where we could have breakfast quietly. The location is nice and quiet, so we were able to sleep really well. In the area we enjoyed the nature, the tranquility and the friendly people. The reception was warm and personal, even our dog Bettie received a warm welcome. All in all recommended, we will definitely come back. Finally, I would like to mention Dokkum, a very nice town with special shops and good restaurants. Thank you Coen and Anne (and Marianne) for this beautiful, wonderful week. We had a lovely stay at Judith! The accommodation was beautifully furnished, spacious, and equipped with every comfort. We felt completely comfortable from the very first moment! The region is quiet and green, and you are quickly in the center of Groningen. Judith is a friendly host; so she made delicious breakfasts for us and gave us tips for delicious eateries in the city. We enjoyed an amazing weekend; thank you so much!!

We (2 adults + a 10-year-old child) enjoyed the time very much and can very well imagine coming back. The landlady is very friendly and helpful. Everything in the house is as shown in the photos and described in the description. The terrace and the view of the pond, the meadow and the animals are very nice and invite you to relax. The sauna is also very nice, of course. In particular, in the evening and at night, it is very quiet. The price for the wood for the sauna (currently €15 per basket) is completely fine and a basket was enough for us for 3 days, but you could also buy more wood at short notice from the landlady. A supermarket and a fishing shop are nearby (2-3 minutes' walk). Other shops and restaurants are also a few minutes away. Parking is right in front of the property on the premises.
