Vacation rentals with a kayak in Galway

The Windswept Loft was perfect for our vacation. The space is as described, clean, cozy, and homely. Melzi was great a communicating with us and making sure we were satisfied with our stay. The area is perfect point to explore the Burren area and all of the natural and historic sites. While the kitchen was well equipped, we enjoyed exploring the area pubs and cafes. A car is need to get to the lofts and explore the beautiful area. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay at Melzi's Windswept loft. We would stay there again when we visit Ireland.

We had a very lovely stay at Rhona's cottage, which provided us with everything we need! The lake view in front of the house is amazing! A wonderful place worth visiting!

What a beautiful location and place to stay! We slept wonderfully in this peaceful country retreat. The location is about 1/2way between Dublin and Kylemore Abbey, we used it as a stopover on our way towards Dublin after Kylemore. The value would be really great for a large party, for us there were only 5 so we didn’t even use all the rooms (the kids wanted to sleep together, they were excited for the bunk beds). We wandered around the estate a little and even took a stroll around the Friary ruins in town. There is a playground at the entrance to the estate area that the kids loved. We had a great time with the fire pit in the outside area behind the place. It is a renovated old building so it did have some problems, and our impression was that the hosts are new to this process, but what they lacked in experience they made up for in enthusiasm. Rowan was VERY responsive, and tried his best to resolve any issues quickly. We would stay here again.

We only stayed for one night with three adults, and this was a good location for us to stay. The views of the lake are gorgeous, it is very peaceful and quiet. It was nice to be only 10 minutes away from the town where you can access shops, groceries, coffee, etc. Check in and check out were very easy and smooth and the hosts were responsive and helpful. The double bed is comfortable, but the single bed mattress was not ideal to support an adult, probably better for a child. There was a kettle and tea provided, as well as towels for the shower. It was nice to have the smart TV with access to Netflix, youtube, etc. but the wifi was not very reliable for streaming on the TV.

Martin was a very welcoming and friendly host. Asked us about our trio and what we were planning on doing. When we told him my partner was taking part in a strongman competition he wished us luck and was very interested about it. The room we were staying in was lovely and exceptionally tidy. Bed was super comfy and the area was beautiful to look at it. We can’t wait to come back again.

J'ai passé 6 nuits chez Martin, et j'en suis ravie ! La chambre est très grande, avec une superbe vue sur le lac et la montagne en fond. Le lit est super confortable, j'y ai dormi comme un bébé ! La salle de bain est aussi spacieuse, et propre. J'ai apprécié de pouvoir me poser dans le salon (partagé avec l'autre chambre) après une bonne journée de marche. La maison est située dans un quartier résidentiel paisible et à seulement quelques minutes à pieds du lac. Et à moins de 5mn en voiture du charmant village Oughterard, où on trouve tout ce qu'il faut en terme de commerces. Et le meilleur pour la fin: l'accueil, tout simplement formidable ! Martin est très sympa, aux petits soins, et s'assure régulièrement au cours du séjour que vous êtes bien, sans être intrusif pour autant. Il est réactif si on a des questions et donne plein d'idées d'activités, de balades à faire ou encore de restaurants. Bref, je recommande à 200% ce logement, pour ma part je m'y suis sentie comme à la maison !

Lovely stay at banshee cottage, everything we needed in the home, only a couple of minutes walk from the shop and bars, David also provided a welcome package of milk, drinks and items to make a sandwich which was a lovely touch, would definitely return to banshee cottage

I cannot say enough about the peaceful location of Rhona’s house. It was truly magical. The view is stunning, the area is quiet, the birds singing in the morning accompanied by an occasional bleeting sheep in the distance was invigorating. The home was spacious and filled with sunlight. A place I would definitely return to and highly recommend!

Thanks Patrick. We loved every minute of our stay in your beautiful spacious home in it's stunning setting. Was so nice to get away from the hustle & bustle and catch up with our pals with stunning scenery all around. We really enjoyed the kayaks, Ping Pong, archery & barbecuing in the garden. Hoping to return again :)
