Castle vacation rentals in Galway

Staying at Pete's castle was the highlight of our trip; truly a one of a kind and amazing experience. Pete was an exceptional host, so kind to our son, and took time to tell us the story of how he rebuilt it. We enjoyed every second of being there.

Chris and Orla are the nicest people and we loved their doggos, Bird and Peter. The renovated church with our own personal tower was absolutely magical. Orla and Chris were so lovely and made us feel like home and also spoiled us rotten. They were super helpful and gave us great food and place recommendations. You will be missing out if you don't stay at Bookeen Hall!!! Will definitely be back again!

Alan's place is accurately described. It is a work in progress in some areas but it was still well worth the stay. The castle is quite unique, and Alan was extremely friendly.

Alan described it just well. Gregg was exactly what I thought it would be. We chose this stay because of the charm that we knew it would offer. Thank you again Alan and I wish you the best in your next venture. Hopefully we are able to return when everything has transitioned. Will be amazing to see it.

Beautiful, unique, historical- this castle is truly one of a kind. Karen was a welcoming host, and the property was so peaceful, yet convenient to Galway and the Burren. Our stay in Kilcolgan was a highlight of our trip.

This was the most amazing stay! Words cannot describe the beauty of this place. Geraldine was the perfect welcoming host! We felt right at right home. The place was immaculate and it honestly felt like a fairytale! We also got dinner catered by Tina and everything was perfect and delicious! We decided to get the boat and so glad we did! David Scully was a great captain and the boat was peaceful to experience. Highly recommend!! Would absolutely visit again!!!!

It was a dream come true to stay at Kilshanny Castle. We loved having the castle and grounds all to ourselves. It was so nice and convenient to be able to cook a meal together in the fully stocked kitchen. Although the castle is very authentic, we appreciated the hot water for showers and the toilets. It was my daughter’s 11th birthday and we celebrated by dressing up in the medieval costumes and took pics and stayed up till midnight so she could open her birthday presents. It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience for my husband, myself and my children.

My husband and I had a great time staying at Claregalway Castle. We were in the Abbey room which was very private and did not share walls with any other rooms. It was nice to sit in the bed and have windows in front and both sides. The room and bathroom were extremely large and the heating in the floors really heated up the room quickly. The staff was friendly and nice. There is a continental breakfast that had some pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit, toast, and cereal. It was plenty for us. When you stay there, you get a tour of the castle on site. We got lucky and could see every floor. There is an actual room for rent in the castle so if it has guest, you won’t be able to see it. This was a unique stay that I recommend.

This was easily the highlight stay of our trip. The castle is genuinely stunning and magical. The hosts were absolutely friendly and so passionate about the property! Not only was the room decorated with so much intention, but the entire grounds, too! I cannot recommend this place enough! We will be back for SURE!

The castle staff were personable and so lovely, with plenty of time for us during our stay. The check-in was smooth and friendly, and it was a highlight of our trip down the west coast. We have already recommended the place to friends and will likely do so again. Excellent stay.

Very comfortable place to stay. Clean, warm, spacious and in an absolutely fabulous location for walks and exploring Connemara. Ballynahinch Castle in walking distance for a lovely meal out, although best to drive (4min) in the evening as the roads/pathways are unlit.

Gorgeous historically accurate castle with modern renovations, conveniently located 15 minutes from Galway, and situated on a beautiful river with exceptionally friendly staff. Included a perfect continental breakfast as well as a free tour of the castle, including the reconstructed tower. Modernized windows make the bedrooms virtually soundproof.
