Welcome to our Country Home, Oughterard Connemara1

We only stayed for one night with three adults, and this was a good location for us to stay. The views of the lake are gorgeous, it is very peaceful and quiet. It was nice to be only 10 minutes away from the town where you can access shops, groceries, coffee, etc. Check in and check out were very easy and smooth and the hosts were responsive and helpful. The double bed is comfortable, but the single bed mattress was not ideal to support an adult, probably better for a child. There was a kettle and tea provided, as well as towels for the shower. It was nice to have the smart TV with access to Netflix, youtube, etc. but the wifi was not very reliable for streaming on the TV.

Cormac is an Excellent Host, Cormac goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome. The house has an incredible view. The private parking is a huge perk as Kinvara is a busy place. Cormac’s house is central to everything and Kinvara is a phenomenal town to visit for vacation. It is central to many things; Galway, the Burren, other coastal towns and beaches. We hope to come back and stay with Cormac again. Felt right at home.

Beautiful room with garden view near lake

Martin was a very welcoming and friendly host. Asked us about our trio and what we were planning on doing. When we told him my partner was taking part in a strongman competition he wished us luck and was very interested about it. The room we were staying in was lovely and exceptionally tidy. Bed was super comfy and the area was beautiful to look at it. We can’t wait to come back again.

House was so nice. Everything we could need was there. Towels, cooking equipment, toiletries. House finished to a very high standard and very clean. Also had milk, eggs, tea, coffee and even a loaf of fresh bread! TamiJoy was very responsive with any questions we had. The house was warm and plenty of room to park. Would highly recommend.

I cannot say enough about the peaceful location of Rhona’s house. It was truly magical. The view is stunning, the area is quiet, the birds singing in the morning accompanied by an occasional bleeting sheep in the distance was invigorating. The home was spacious and filled with sunlight. A place I would definitely return to and highly recommend!

I had such a wonderful stay at Robert and Martina’s. They were so welcoming and helpful and the room was perfect. Very peaceful and easy to find if you have your own car and easy to get around to see surrounding areas - thank you 🙏🏻

We had a lovely stay beautiful setting by the river .The house was warm and cosy on arrival . Hugh was there to meet us with instructions on heating and Anne had left us beautiful homemade brown bread which went down very well with a cuppa after our long journey . It’s only a couple of minutes walking distance from the picturesque Cong village

We were very kindly welcomed by the resident and dog! The house and the bedroom with (private bathroom) was modern, clean and tidy. In the morning we were served a delicious Irish breakfast to start the day well with a beautiful view. Before leaving, we got a few fun and useful tips. As far as we are concerned, really recommended to stay here! Keep in mind that the road towards the house is narrow and overgrown so that some driving experience is so convenient.
