Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Galiano Island

Lovely home was a perfect location for our family Christmas away. Lots of space, well appointed home, big kitchen/dining area. House is located in a central area and we were able to walk or catch a bus to anywhere we wanted to go. Would highly recommend.

Our stay at Anna's was wonderful. We were a group of 4 ladies and we stayed for 4 nights. We were all impressed by how cozy, well stocked and clean the place was. The place was spotless, shower is awesome, beds are comfortable (twin bed mattresses are suitable for kids, not adults), coffee is provided. We walked to the beach everyday and the street was quiet and peaceful. Check in was easy and Anna was wonderful. Photos in the ad represent the home well. Great stay and we would stay again. We booked our stay very early since it was for our son’s Wedding. It had plenty of space for all the extended family to stay and gather before our activities for the day. The location was terrific for walking which our family loves to do. Loved that it was close to grocery stores and restaurants. We all enjoyed our stay! Thanks!

great location, large 3 bedroom, really large living room with lots of seating, great for group, quiet neighborhood, easy and lots of parking, not much traffic, lots of restaurants close by, central location, great hosts!

We had a wonderful stay! Lots of space, great kitchen, and wonderful breezes. You can see the tides on the bay. Beautiful! The host was so supportive the whole time and especially when we forgot to pack one cupboard of our food. She had it ready for a relative to pick up for us after we left.

The house was great and had a well stocked kitchen. We came in at night which made locating it challenging. For reference it is just past the 25mph sign with the orange reflector above it. We really enjoyed our stay. All the beds were comfortable and the bed linens were nice and soft. Having fans in the rooms was great and they were of a nice quality. We would stay here again.

We loved staying at Dave’s Central location perfect for Nanaimo adventures, and super close to the ferry We’d love to get back some day!

Travis was very helpful throughout our whole stay. We loved the cozy house in a quiet street and even more so set back from the street. We stayed there with two families (two adults plus two kids each) and there was plenty of space for all of us - also for dining inside and out on the terrace. We made use of Travis' barbecue once. The area is lovely with its historic houses and there are supermarkets within walking distance as well as restaurants and lots of lovely cafes. The kitchen is great and even though you are expected to replace things when they run empty, which goes without saying, it's great to stay in a house that is usually lived in and you don't have to start buying everything from scratch. The only thing that didn't go well was that we had booked for the 8 of us but there were only 7 beds available. But since Travis is quick on his communication we could resolve that swiftly with a self-inflating airbed stowed in the house. All in all we can totally recommend Travis ;-)

The space was clean and easy to get to. Comfortable bed with lots of little extras.

We stayed one night at Russells place. The location was conveniently situated for us in relation to the ferry terminal. What we appreciated about the location was that we had our own entrance and space. It was lovely to be able to sit outside on the balcony. The bathroom was spacious, with nice toiletries. Unfortunately, we couldn't cook in the kitchen, but we were aware of that as it was mentioned in the description. Luckily, the Nanaimo bars made up for it. What we personally find a bit of a shame — and this unfortunately happens at almost all Airbnbs — is that there’s no personal contact anymore. A key lockbox is very convenient, but we also feel it takes away a bit of the personal touch.

Anne Marie was absolutely lovely, as was this cozy little space. From being flexible on check in time to accommodate my flight, to proactively recommending local hidden gems, she was a joy. I look forward to staying here again.

Jay's place was just as described with some nice extras. We appreciated the snacks when we arrived after a late flight. Our family of 4 enjoyed ample space, comfortable beds and linens. Everything was spotlessly clean. Jay allowed a parking space in the driveway and so we did not have to rely on street parking. All in all a great stay in a quiet residential area that was conveniently located for us near to family but it is also near the bus route to hop on public transportation to get into Van. We would stay again!

We stayed at Raphael's for a week, and it was a great. The place was a bit small and it wasn't the most soundproof suite, but it was still quite reasonable and our toddler had no issue going to sleep. The suite is clean and the location is amazing, being steps away from a park and very walkable to grocery stores and restaurants. Raphael was very responsive and his flexibility in letting us check in early was greatly appreciated. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay at the rental. In particular, we loved the location and proximity to great cafes and restaurants on Main Street. As we walked around the neighbourhood, we were fortunate to see all the Cherry Blossoms which were so pretty. Finding free street parking right outside the house was very easy. Hosts were lovely and the suite was comfortable and met our needs for our short stay.

Well equipped with coffees, teas and as many cooking and types of utensils as you would need. Mary was super, my uber driver took me to the wrong address, when I called her she came and picked me up.

we had a great time. super easy directions and check in, condo was clean and had plenty of space for the 6 of us. nice patio, great location. hope to stay there again in the future!

Great place to stay in Birch Bay! Dan and Sherri were great hosts, the condo was very comfortable and had a nice view of the bay. Very responsive and answered all our questions promptly and clearly. Would stay here again!

This place was super cute and comfortable. Annette’s place was very clean. This adorable spot was a 10 minute walk to all the shops and food and a 17 minute drive to Roche Harbor! Loved our weekend getaway! Stay here y’all! It’s worth it! Thanks Annette! 🙏😀

We loved out stay at Robby's place, which we booked for the Taylor Swift Eras Tour. Lots of other people had hosts let them down for this, but Robby was kind, responsive, reliable and just fantastic all through. The beds are comfy, the views are spectacular, and we really enjoyed everything about being so centrally located.

Place was gorgeous, Iris was a sweet and responsive host. We will be back again 100%

It’s definitely a fantastic place to stay! Beautiful, comfortable, clean and very well equipped with everything you may need. Great location and the host is also amazing. I totally recommend Alisson’s apartment.

This spot was a perfect one for exploring the whole island. Close to stores and restaurants but super quiet at night when the town shuts down. Entry was made easy with personalized code, kitchen ready to go when we wanted to make breakfast but easy walking distance to grab a bite as well. And we caught some of the most beautiful spring weather. Could not have enjoyed it more. Thanks!
