As you arrive, you will be welcomed by the Japanese garden, where you can see the beautiful Japanese red maple in autumn time. The small house that was built about 70 years ago was now reborn as Mt. FUJI BASE HOSTEL SAMURISE KURA -蔵-, and has been welcoming guests from all over the world since 2017. We respected and maintained the traditional Japanese style in the process of refurbishment, so you could enjoy and experience the traditional Japanese housing. We offer 4 different types rooms [Ume(梅) Momiji(椛) Sakura(桜) Tsubaki(椿)] depending on the group size (a child counted as 1 person, only aged 6 and up acceptable). We can keep your luggage free of charge before you check-in and after check-out. We also do a bicycle hire, which is very convenient for cycling around Lake Kawaguchi looking over Mt. This Superior Dormitory room is a 10 cabin bed-mixed dorm shared by maximum of 12 people. (8 single cabins and 2 double sized cabins) You can use one of the double-sized cabin beds in the room. This bed has side walls and ceiling, so you will have a private space inside the bed. Comfort and good sleep. It comes with curtains, a reading light, power adapters and a security locker. *We are a smoke-free hostel. All rooms are non-smoking. *Please be noted that for the comfort of other guests we would like to divide your group into smaller ones when assigning your rooms, as we would like to avoid a large group to occupy more than half of the beds in the dormitory room.

Our private room features 1 or 2 futon beds on traditional tatami floors. The shared areas include bathrooms, dining space and a work/lounge/library area. The hostel Saruya Hostel opened in 2015 in Fujiyoshida, a city at the bottom of Mt Fuji.
