【HAKONE】Private Natural flowing hot spring【ROSSO】

The house is very nice and the hot springs tub is incredible. The hike up to the house was strenuous for my husband and me (both in our 70s) especially with our luggage. The view of Mt. Fuji from the front porch is awesome. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed having a washing machine. There is no grocery store - only a 7-11. Overall our stay was very very pleasant and comfortable.

Our stay at Forest LOG HAKONE KONOKA was one of the most unforgettable parts of our honeymoon. The cabin-style house was warm and beautifully designed, nestled in a quiet forest that brought us peace and calm. We especially loved the private onsen—soaking in the hot spring at night while listening to the sounds of nature was incredibly relaxing. The interior was clean, cozy, and full of thoughtful touches. Although there are no convenience stores nearby, the overall experience exceeded our expectations. Perfect for couples or anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy house in Hakone. Overall, our experience was very positive. The house is well-equipped with everything you might need and feels warm and welcoming—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. One of the highlights was definitely the private onsen, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We highly recommend renting a car, as there are no supermarkets or restaurants within walking distance. That said, the location is still very convenient for sightseeing—it’s just a short drive to the Hakone Ropeway (cable car) and the pirate ship cruise on Lake Ashi. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable base in Hakone.

This is a cluster of log houses, but well spaced so you get your own privacy. It’s peaceful and quiet, and has lots of amenities. You need a car as there is nothing walkable here, but that’s the beauty of this place. Stairs are steep so those travelling with elderlies and children pls note!

Tsubaki Lodge is definitely a worthwhile stay with beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The amenities provided is also great with fully equipped and a functional kitchen. Not to mention a washing machine/dryer which is a very much help if you have children travelling along. The rooms are also comfortable to rest after a long day out. Furthermore, this lodge is also within a walking distance to the Togendai station, which is a station for a cable car ride up to Owakudani and for the pirate ship ride along the Lake Ashi. This is very convenient as we get to avoid the crowd and long queues as we have the chance of getting there earlier. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for our family and we will definitely come back.

This has to be the best place I’ve ever stayed in. The house is cosy and full of amenities. The bathroom is huge. There’s a big patio at the back. On the day we checked out 4 deers appeared, what a nice surprise. Lake Yamanakako is walking distance and to drive to Fujikawaguchi is just half an hour. The host was super friendly & helpful. I wished I had booked it longer, definitely want to come back.
