Vacation rentals with a kayak in Frisia

Incredibly nice and helpful hosts. The house is a bit remote but quiet in a vacation home park. Whether you want to take a small tour by canoe or bike (included in the price) or explore the larger cities such as Amsterdam or Rotterdam by car - the house offers a perfect starting point. And there's hardly anything better than ending the evening in the hot tub.

As a small family with a son under one year old, this was the perfect place to stay. The entire accommodation is child-safe and offers numerous employment opportunities. The garden provides the basis for, for example, wonderful evenings by the fire pit. For us, the private sauna in the house was an additional highlight to round off the day in a relaxed way. The hosts are also really very friendly and gave tips for different aspects. Overall, we can make a clear recommendation :)

A beautiful house in a peaceful, quiet place. It has everything we needed for a long time stay. Jorrit is very helpful, ha was always avalaible if we had any questions. We definitely recommend this place.

We had the most wonderful stay in this charming cabin nestled on the property of a windmill in Alkmaar. From the moment we arrived, our hosts Kelly and Han made us feel completely at home. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect—so kind, welcoming, and full of great local tips. The cabin itself is a dream—coziness taken to the next level. Every detail was thoughtfully put together, and it was the perfect place to unwind to relax. Waking up next to a windmill felt like something out of a fairytale. Alkmaar itself is a beautiful village full of history, with adorable shops and restaurants to explore. The charming canals add to the magical atmosphere, and it’s easy to hop on a train to Amsterdam for a day trip. We’re already dreaming of our return and feel so lucky to have made such lovely new friends in Kelly and Han. Highly recommend this magical spot to anyone visiting The Netherlands!

Spacious, clean and well-equipped house. It's in a quiet and very picturesque village (little Gieethorn). Micaela was very kind and welcoming during check-in. We spent 6 days in serenity and comfort and visited various sites in the Netherlands by car (Amsterdam, Keukenhof, Leiden, Haarlem, Volendam and Marken, Zaanse Schan, Gieethorn) knowing that we would return in the evening to a perfect house to rest. Highly recommended.

Wonderful House at the center of the nature!

Lovely stay, very peaceful and ideally located for our climbing activity in Groningen. We also had a nice morning in Winsum. Whisk whilst not a problem to us, it’s worth noting that the only bedroom with clothes hanging space and a mirror is the main bedroom. The bathroom / shower is also only accessible through the main bedroom. Overall very comfy and well stocked, with very helpful hosts.

We spent a total of three nights at Luna Beach House. It was very nice and the view of the water was just great. We will be happy to come back.

We enjoyed our stay at Wendela's. We were warmly welcomed. The "Rosenhäuschen" was exactly what we had imagined. It was our home away from home. And we'll be back for sure.

What a great place! The house itself is pretty spacious, all amenities available, great, modern kitchen. Above, 2 bedrooms with top quality boxsprings. The view from the living room is like a postcard: wide view, open space, birds flocking around. Well located in between little towns, always something nice to see. Family De Witte is very responsive (got responded within 2 mins). I can only strongly recommend this place. You find peace in heart and mind.

There were four of us over New Year's Eve plus baby in the vintage villa. It was cold outside and there was a storm, inside it was - also by the fireplace - totally cozy. We felt very comfortable! The apartment has an exceptional charm and is somewhat reminiscent of a ship. Gehsa was always available and is a very nice, helpful host!

Very nice old small house with private terrace and small garden right on the canal. Very quiet and rural location, but no shopping nearby. Ideal for relaxing, especially if the weather cooperates. House is very clean and well equipped, but age-related a bit narrow (bathroom). The two of us had a very nice few days and felt very comfortable with our dog.

We felt very comfortable with Lonneke! Everything was as described in the photos. I also loved that she always responded quickly to my messages and questions. The place was clean and well furnished so that nothing was missing. The location is very great and very easily accessible by bus from Amsterdam and you are in the center in a good 15 minutes! If you want to have peace and quiet after the hustle and bustle of the city, I highly recommend this place! Simply super nice location and super hosts! Thank you for the great time and for your hospitality! I'd love to come back when I'm in Amsterdam again. Everything was great!

It was such a joy to be the very first guests in this beautiful Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, we could see how much love and care were put into designing and furnishing the space. Every detail feels thoughtfully curated, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The location and comfort of the home were ideal, allowing us to enjoy our time to the fullest.

We spent four very nice days in the small cottage and were very satisfied. The cottage offers plenty of space and is also fully equipped for self-catering. The location is really very quiet, you are on your own and the view of the pastures and fields from the terrace is very beautiful. The nearest larger town of Ommen, can be reached within 15 minutes and offers very good restaurants and shopping. In short, if you want it typical Dutch uncomplicated, you are in the best hands there.

The cottage is very cozy and equipped with every comfort. The outside space space is beautiful. I enjoyed the scrambling chickens.

Wonderfully quiet and cozy cottage. Wonderful, unobstructed views. cozy and spacious. you will be personally welcomed and given tips. If you like peace and nature, this is highly recommended. 10 minutes from the sea, dunes and villages.

Great place to unplug. Not far from Amsterdam, kitchen yard, beach. The host is very nice. You feel comfortable there.

We really loved this cozy cabin. It was very cute and magical. It has a mini kitchen with fridge, hob, kettle, oven, utensils, dishes etc, good and clean bathroom with shower, comfy bed and access to a private garden. Complimentary eggs if you dare facing chickens. There’s also a booklet with all the information you need. The place is in a small village in Watergang 15-20 mins away from city centre by bus, with the bus stop right outside. The village itself is small but quiet and lovely. You can go for a walk around, spend time in the park or simply enjoy nature. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The hosts were very helpful, polite, friendly and responsive. They provided clear instructions, answered any questions we had and were flexible with check in/out time. We didn’t meet them in person so the whole stay was very private. Would definitely recommend this place and the hosts. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

The place is so nice and large with a huge living area. You are in the countryside with farm animals and a colorful peacock. The hosts are lovely and friendly people always ready to satisfy the guest: on Sundays they prepare a great buffet for brunch and serve it in the garden. We loved the peace and calm of this place.

Had a wonderful time in The Blue Cottage. Beautiful location, enjoyed the view and the lake. The cottage is small but nice and everything you can think of is present. It is beautiful to enjoy the outdoors on the spacious terrace. With outdoor shower. Ina is a welcoming, kind and caring host. Recommended this cottage!

We loved our time at Pean! It was beautiful, serene, and the house looked exactly like the pictures. I was happy to see the map of the community ahead of time so we could find our house (we arrived after dark) but they were also very proactive ahead of time in explaining how to find it. The fireplace was wonderful- very cozy and they provide some wood to start you off with. (They also sell more on location if you don’t want to bring your own.) And we took advantage of the floating sauna- easy to book, clean, and nice view of the night sky. Our kids loved the play area and assorted outdoor toys. Our dogs were thrilled to join us on vacation (by the way- pristine clean- we couldn’t tell other dogs had ever been!) All in all- we were very pleased and we would highly recommend it.

We stayed with our 5 month old for a week. Charming place, extensively equipped kitchen, wonderful living room and terrace to enjoy a good time. And Janneke was always super helpful, forthcoming and made us feel welcome!
