Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Situated in an out of the way location on the coastal path. Peaceful and secluded surrounded by beautiful trees and wildlife including red squirrels. Ideal for walkers who enjoy nature and wildlife. There is a quiet beach in easy walking distance where you can find fossils, sea glass and an amazing array of seashells. Due to the out of the way location you ideally need transport to access the nearest shop and pub. 45 mins on foot/7 mins by car.

The Mermaid's Den

This is my familys hide-away on the Isle of Wight in the beautiful Freshwater Bay. We tried to make it as cosy and welcoming as possible. It's a 2 bed that can sleep 5 and has an enclosed garden at the front and it's own parking space. It's a 5 min walk from the Bay and a 10 min walk from Freshwater town. Anywhere on the island is under an hour away by car. There's a local shop + bar minutes walk away and a large supermarket under 5 min drive. Everything you need for a relaxing island getaway!

Bay, Brambles Chine, Colwell Bay - WiFi & The Hut

Beau and Bay are two semi detached holiday bungalows, which have been completely refurbished. Each offering glimpses of The Solent and within a stones throw of the beautiful Colwell bay, with its beaches and eateries. The restaurant The Hut, is a 15-20 minute walk away. I can offer a link for 25% off Wightlink ferry travel with a car and 20% off as a foot passenger. This link will be sent upon request, after booking is made. Palmerston House is an impressive 3 bedroom terraced house, part of the 150 year old Grade I listed Golden Hill Fort. The Fort is surrounded by Golden Hill Country Park, located between the harbour town of Yarmouth and the village of Freshwater. 360 degree views from the communal roof garden stretch across the Solent, English Channel and West Wight countryside. This family friendly home away from home sleeps 7 in 3 double bedrooms (1 ensuite) and has a spacious open plan kitchen/living room.

The Bird Hide is ideal for singles or couples (max 2 people) interested in exploring the local area with its own garden and separate access. A comfortable double bed, seating area and with it's own dining and inbuilt kitchen, it offers all you need for a short stay. It has a separate bathroom, as well as on outside decking area to catch the evening sun. The Bird Hide is 5 minutes walk from Freshwater Bay, even closer to footpaths to the Downs and the local village via the SSSI trail.

Close to beach with garden, family & dog friendly

Rose Cottage is a 3 bed cottage (sleeps 5 plus infant) situated less than 5 mins walk from the stunning beach at Freshwater Bay. Close by is Tennyson Down with its stunning cliff top walks to The Needles as well as beautiful beaches at Totland & Colwell Bay. The cottage has an enclosed front and rear garden plus off street parking. Within short walking distance are Dimbola Tea Room, The Piano Cafe, Farringford House, The Albion, the bus bar and a visiting pizza van in the summer.

Located in a Holiday Village set within 37 acres of coastal countryside, a 5 minute stroll from the local sandy beach and perfectly positioned for enjoying the nearby stunning sunsets . The bungalow is a great stopover for a walking, cycling or motorcycling tour of the island and is virtually on the coastal path between Yarmouth and Alum Bay, but equally well positioned for a family holiday or a get together with friends. 20% Red Funnel discount available on request.

It is located up a private lane in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty within easy walking distance of the beach - Freshwater Bay - nearby shops, a superb cafe/bar and friendly pub.

Emma’s Hut is a light and airy self contained bedroom with ensuite shower room and separate area with catering facilities. We are only 20 minutes drive from the Needles and even closer to Freshwater Bay and minutes from the Coastal Path. The historic town of Yarmouth has a great choice of places to eat, a Grade 2 listed pier a castle and fabulous views across the Solent. The ferry comes into Yarmouth from Lymington and is a short walk up the hill to our home.
