We had a really nice time at the cabin. Everything was laid out very nicely and was ready for us the moment we arrived. The space is beautiful and right on the lake. It was extremely peaceful to sit in the large screened deck and hang out with the stunning lake in view. Hope to stay here again some day!

This stay was amazing! What an absolutely scenic and serene location with views of and access to Shenandoah National Park. This was the perfect place for the misty weather and lower temps! It really is as described. We will certainly consider coming back if we are ever in the area again!

Connie's Rock Cottage was amazing! much thought was put into this cottage. Firewood and fire starter for the wood stove on chilly nights, robes we used for getting to and from the private hot tub just steps outside the back door,map of entire 550 acres of land including the wonderful paved walkway which meanders through the property. This was the mosr exceptionally prepared kitchen we have seen in out travels. Tons of utensils, a full set of potsand pans, dish towels, trivets, cutting boards and cooking sheets! We love to cook together when we travel and this kitchen was big enough for 2! We got some amazing pictures all over the farm. The lack of light pollution allowed us to enjoy the stars and Pink Full Moon in all their glory! We will be back to enjoy this cottage again!

First of all, Kate is a fantastic hostess. She was very accommodating, welcoming and communicative. I greatly appreciated her hospitality. The property is gorgeous and peaceful. It is like a peaceful spa oasis home away from home. You can find comfort in every room. The hot tub is glorious to soak in while staring at the nighttime sky or for watching the sunset. There is practically no light or noise pollution. You can hear the creek down the hill flowing. Most of your neighbors are cows grazing in a field down the drive or an adorable family of foxes on the property. It is a perfect spot to just get away, relax and enjoy a natural setting tucked away in a hillside. Kate has mindfully ensured guests have almost anything you may need to prepare meals in the kitchen. Also plenty of towels and linens. You are about a 15-20 minute drive away from everything C-Ville has to offer. Perfect distance to have access to all you may need and to have peace and quiet. Truly a wonderful spot.

Great stay! We were in town for a wedding at Morais Vineyards and it was a perfect spot for our old high school group to be able to all stay together for the festivities!!

I have now stayed at 3 of Derek's properties and all experiences have been fantastic! I think I loved this Walden cabin the most, though! The view, the gorgeous property, the well-kept and comfortable home - it's all amazing. I don't think I'll stay anywhere else when I want to visit the Blue Ridge from now on!

This was our first time using Airbnb and it was a great experience. It was a little weird as I unlocked the door and walked in the first time. Soft lights and a screensaver on the tv, felt like I was walking into someone’s house. The views from the cabin were amazing - even in the rain and fog. Returning from town one day we discovered the power was out. Brian had sent a few messages keeping us informed. The wood stove kept us cozy. The hot tub was relaxing at sunset and at 6:30 in the morning. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The road was rough and got worse with 2 nights of heavy rain, but someone was taking care of it as best they could. The rain had the waterfall running fast and furious. I have added pics of an early morning and a sunset from the deck as screensavers to my phone to remind me of this beautiful place.

Our second year staying in this beautiful, peaceful cabin was even better than the first. The space is lovely and immaculately clean, and the outdoor setting is huge, private and gorgeous. The hosts went way above and beyond and are extremely responsive. Thank you for a perfect stay!!!!!

Linda and Jay seemingly were put on this earth to be incredible hosts. Their hospitality is hands down the best I’ve ever experienced and only added value to this already cozy and comfortable home. They have a ton of recommendations for the area and decades of personal experience in this region. I look forward to future opportunities for our paths to cross!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this AIRBNB. It was walking distance to a nice Mexican Restaurant as well as to a brewery. We spent hours on the front porch in the nice rocking chairs. The back of the property overlooked the water which was beautiful! It was close to everything in town! The house was clean and had all of the necessities. We also enjoyed the front sitting area during the morning. The owner was responsive and helpful! We would definitely recommend this property.

Douglas was a fantastic host. He was extremely responsive and accommodating, and his property was beyond gorgeous. We will absolutely be staying here again!

The Bungalow was perfect for what I was looking for which was a quiet space for reflection ... essentially a personal retreat. Couldn't have asked for a better accommodation. The backyard was an oasis and just lovely (as was the entire house, but the backyard ... chef's kiss! Lynne was super friendly and accommodating. I'll be back!

we stay at this property whenever visiting our son in Palmyra. the unit is always spotless, warm and welcoming. recent upgrades are a functional kitchen with sink, refrigerator, coffee maker, Hot plate for quick one pot meals and microwave. the space is under a large cathedral ceiling and offers plenty of space for two people but can accommodate four with the additional queen size air mattress available. perfect place for a young familys, or a few friends to spend a weekend or longer. The fact that pets are welcome is also awesome. thank you linnice for providing such a warm comforting unit!

Lovely attached studio, comfortable bed, nice linens. Good WiFi. Easy location. We’d stay again if traveling to Charlottesville.

Five of us stayed here for a wedding and we had a great time! The house was nice and we were able to use the deck and porch to enjoy the beautiful weather. The kitchen had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Great place!! We really enjoyed our stay. Mary provided everything we needed...even extras. We brought some steak to grill and Mary provided a charcoal grill with charcoal so we could cook out. Sh also provided some great local hiking options. We'll definitely be back when in Charlottesville!! Thank you Mary!!

We had a great time and parked right in front of the apartment. After I stood there and held the spot for our big truck. Lol took my hubby an hour to get back to me but I remained standing for him to park and not letting anyone else park there 🤣🤣🤣🤣 place was great. Thanks!

The location of the house was very good in the forest and it was just what I wanted to enjoy the jacuzzi in the evening and it was also very enjoyable They were friendly and kind I am grateful for everything 🙏

Our stay was absolutely perfect. The apartment had everything we needed — a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable bedroom, a clean and functional bathroom, and even a washer and dryer in excellent condition. Everything was just as described, and we felt right at home. The location was also ideal. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, perfect for taking walks, and there’s a supermarket and pharmacy just a short walk away. It’s also conveniently close to Georgetown, which was a big plus for us. The host was very attentive and responsive throughout our stay. I couldn’t be happier — 10/10 experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

This is just someone opening their home, it is someone who loves to host; and it shows! Not only was the view incredible but the place felt like a home. From the little details (the “I forgot it at home” box, plenty of pool and bathroom towels, shampoo/conditioner/bodywash, having freshly ground coffee/sugar/sweetener, having spices and any kitchen utensils you could need, and even a heart keychain on the door and my name on the chalkboard). The bed was so comfortable and the shower pressure was amazing. The pool was great (although the weather was a little too cold for us to enjoy it fully)! The ceiling upstairs on one side of the bed was a little low but it was fine and worth it for a king bed. Every uber driver we had didn’t mind waiting for us as he just looked at the view. Would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I stayed here right after we hot married and it was the most lovely experience! It was an absolute blast, I wouldn’t have changed a thing except I wish I could’ve stayed longer. Maud was so sweet and I loved having her as a host. Cannot recommend enough!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The space was the perfect getaway for us and our pup especially loved all the walks nearby the property! The space was clean and well-decorated and felt like a relaxing escape from the city. Martha was very responsive and gave great recommendations for places to eat and take hikes. She even provided treats for our pup, which he loved! We are definitely coming back soon!
