There isn’t anything like this cabin downtown! Come stay at our beautifully renovated (super relaxing) 3 bedroom 2 full bath Historic 1840 Downtown Frederick Log Cabin House. Cable and WiFi, great selection of dvds, and games for all ages. Right downtown. It’s about a 10 min easy walk to the canal. The trees downtown are lit up and looks beautiful at night. Spruce Run Cottage, Farm stay on Catoctin Mountain

The cottage is located on 25 acres of mostly wooded terrain off Highway 17 near Wolfsville, Maryland, less than an hour and a half from D.C. The cottage faces the woods and the private drive down to the creek. There is almost zero light pollution at night so stargazing is incredible from the balcony. The hosts live on the property up the hill in an 1890’s chink log cabin. Although you can see our house, the cottage feels very private and is a quiet comfortable retreat in the hills.

Tiny A-Frame Retreat in the Woods

Beautiful, quiet woodland setting with a creek running through it, just 5 miles from downtown Frederick. Tucked away into the woods our tiny A-Frame has a comfortable queen bed(not an air mattress) for a rest and retreat fully immersed in the poplar woods. This is a camping style set up- so if you enjoy camping then this place is for you. No running water- but plenty of good clean mountain water available , no electricity, compost toilet. We do not allow dogs.
