Northern Tranquility Cabin on Mooselookmeguntic

ValerieRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Absolutely beautiful location. Views of the lake from every window make the cozy spot feel more spacious. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the water, napping on the hammock, dining on the porch or watching the hummingbirds. Incredibly private lot that was so quiet and peaceful. Fully stocked with anything you could need. Games, first aid and staple spices. Use of the Canoe and paddleboard added lots of fun and fires at night to round off a perfect camp stay. So glad we found this beautiful gem!

3-story House on Maine Lake w Dock & Fireplace

ChristyRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We had been looking for a private vacation spot on a lake that would accommodate our intergenerational family of 8 and 2 pets for a few years. Sweetwater Cottage was worth the wait! The long backyard and raised screened in porch made for exquisite views of the sunsets while our kids and dogs played. Quiet lake and neighbors made for an equally perfect spot for early morning fishing and afternoon naps while listening to the loons. We caught several bass, lake trout and even a landlocked salmon out on our flat bottom boat, and the kids were endlessly entertained by catching sunfish off of the dock. The provided paddleboards were a favorite. We even paddled out to the small island where we got up close to a Bald Eagle's nest and took turns jumping off the small wooden platform on a rope swing. The house was beautiful and spacious with comfortable beds and a sectional couch that fit our whole family for game nights. Lots of great memories and photos made. We can't wait to return!

Forest Bathing: Off-Grid Tiny Home, Pond w/ Kayak

JosephRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The host is super good at communicating, and provides great local recommendations. The cabin itself looks exactly as it does in the pictures, but the scenery outside is gorgeous as well. Something else that not many people have mentioned; but the dirt road that leads up to the cabin is absolutely beautiful. It does get a little muddy, so make sure you have 4WD and the ability to maneuver over this terrain, but you won’t regret it. The cabin’s WiFi worked good; YouTube, social media, maps, and everything else I tried all worked great; it just got a little bit spotty when it rained, but that’s it! The kitchen came fully stocked with all utensils you’d need to cook. The windows in the bedroom and bathroom give you a truly unique view that I’ve never experienced, but it was absolutely worth it.

The Guest Lodge at Santa Claus Lake

GregoryRating, 5 stars8 months ago
The lodge was very well equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing, peaceful vacation in a very private setting. Beth and Rob were very responsive to our questions, which were few due to the volume of information they provided. We would highly recommend this property to our friends and would love to stay there again. Greg and Eve

Our stay at Stepping Stones was absolutely wonderful. From the gorgeous lake-front panorama to the welcoming house with windows on to the view in every room, our group of nine people had an exquisite time. We were blessed with wonderful, sunny, early fall weather, which meant getting in for a swim almost every day during our six day stay. I highly recommend Stepping Stones for anyone seeking to be surrounded by beauty with privacy, wonderful sunsets and all the comforts of home. Thank you Michael and Donna!

Beautiful Townhouse on Rangeley Lake

DavidRating, 5 stars6 months ago
The home and surroundings are incredibly peaceful and quiet. The time we chose to go was perfect. Very light on tourism. No motor sports on the trails. And the local family of deer allowed me to get within 20-30ft for some great pictures. Nobody joined us at the lakeside beach and my adult boys had a great time fishing. Thinking about fishing bc fishing season is over. That’s what I meant to say :) The goal was for me to get some picture of moose. That didn’t happen. So I guess I will need to go back :)
A sunset casts a warm glow over the water, reflecting vibrant colors on the surface. The silhouette of distant mountains is visible, framing the horizon. A small boat rests on the sandy beach, with a dock extending towards the water's edge.

A perfect camp getaway at my lake. The camp was well appointed, sparkling clean, cozy, and had beautiful views. Lynn and Dave were so accommodating and responsive -- checking if I needed anything and lighting a campfire for me to enjoy under the sparkling stars. Great hosts, great place.
A serene river scene is captured at dawn, with mist gently rising from the water's surface. Lush green hills, adorned with autumnal colors, contrast against the clear blue sky, creating a tranquil atmosphere reflecting on the calm waters.

The Spruce Moose

JonnyRating, 5 stars7 months ago
The cabin was very much as described and the setting on the lake was as beautiful as shown in the pictures to the listing. We had a beautiful foggy first morning and an amazing starry second night! I was surprised at just how close the Rangeley area is to the cabin which offered really gorgeous views of that region. We were a very small party of three with my guests having never been to this part of the country and all were in love. The only thing I would recommend is layering up to stay warm as the days shorten and get cooler. Peggy was a really great host! When I asked about a lobster pot for making a birthday dinner while there, she went out of her way to purchase the pot, shell-cracking tools, butter ramekins, and even bibs! Being from NYC, this was a great way to spend a few relaxing days and I’ll highly recommend it to anyone. The cabin is a bit more rustic than I expected but all told was perfect for what we needed. Thank you again, Peggy!
A serene scene captures the home's exterior, bathed in soft sunlight. The house, featuring a spacious deck, is framed by lush greenery. In the foreground, a flowering plant stands near a rocky area, adding an element of nature to the tranquil setting.

Cozy home on a river Close to nature and town

AdamRating, 5 stars12 months ago
Fantastic little spot to stay if you ever want to get away to somewhere peaceful! House is directly on the river as it seems in the photos. Very unique and cozy interior. Tons of supplies in the kitchen to go along with the modern appliances. Quiet area with no sounds other than the environment. Came here for the 2024 Eclipse, owners were very accommodating with our need to stay a bit later in the day. Side note: Highly suggest buying groceries from “Jades Homegrown” farm just down the road. Some of the best bread we’ve ever had, bought like 3 loafs during our weekend stay (whoops). Fresh eggs and meat as well.
A rustic cabin is shown from the exterior, featuring a dark wood facade and a welcoming front porch. Large windows provide natural light, while a small staircase leads to the entrance. The surrounding grassy area is well-kept, with trees and stacked firewood nearby.

My husband and I rented this place for our wedding venue. Kim was great at communicating what was needed for us to use her place as a venue. The location was absolutely stunning! The home was clean and easy to check in. A few things that need to be more clear is the sleeping arrangements. There are only 3 bedrooms. The rest of the sleeping areas are pull out beds in common areas. It can sleep many people but they all have to sleep in the downstairs together. For this reason, it was a little pricey. We don’t regret renting this place for our venue and are grateful for Kim letting us check in early. Kim was a great host!

Pine Rock Point Cottage - At Haines Landing

TracyRating, 5 stars9 months ago
I give the host Tia 10 stars if possible. She was amazing and we were in contact a lot while there. The house is a bit dated and there is some clutter from the owner. The location is amazing and right on the water. They windows on the waterside don’t open and there are no screen doors so it was pretty buggy because we had to keep the doors open due to scorching temps. They don’t have a dock which would have been nice with the boat and just to have something to sit on.. But all in all Tia was truly incredible! The spot beautiful. I would go back. Thank you for your help, Tia!
