Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Foxton Beach

We were visiting family in Upper Hutt. We needed a home base for 3 people for a 16 night stay. Willem's accommodations were perfect with room to spare. Plenty of room for a large group. Easy check in and ability to come and go as we liked. We were traveling with our 81 year old father and it was perfect for us. There were 3 bedrooms on the main floor and 2 bathrooms, one with a wonderful shower and the other with a tub. Also the living spaces were very spacious and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend Willem's home.

Amazing hosts, very clean and extremely comfortable and peaceful! We had an amazing time. Thank you for the Easter eggs and the handwritten note! It made us feel very welcomed. Also the generosity of being able to use coffee etc and the milk in the fridge when we arrived! We were touched by the generosity. Thank you!

My friends and I had a lovely, relaxing weekend at Natalie’s place! Natalie was super responsive and helpful, checking in with us and giving us great recommendations. This spot is super convenient to a gorgeous beach and has amazing outdoor areas for a good summer getaway.

We had a great stay. The place was spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. There was a fully fenced backyard which was perfect for my dog, the sofas were super comfortable for relaxing, the beach was just short 10 minute walk away. Brenda was super flexible and accommodating, when we had an extra person turn up on our second night Brenda allowed them to stay at no extra charge. Would definitely stay again.

Jane's place was perfect for the two of us, and felt like a home away from home. It was spotless and really well equipped, with the kitchen allowing to make just about anything you wanted. The place is an easy walk to shops and food outlets. Jane was responsive and reached out to make sure everything was going well, great host. We would certainly stay again if we are in Wellington again.

We had a lovely 3-night stay at Wendy's place. She very thoughtfully put out some books and toys which our kids loved, and also brought us some yummy cherry tomatoes from her garden. It's such a beautiful spot and super handy to Whanganui. The apartment had everything we needed for a great stay - thank you Wendy!

Thank you for a great night stay. Lots of amenities included - full kitchen, laundry room, living space, TV with streaming service. Lovely garden area out front. Clear instructions re: parking across the road and how to access. The booklet has lots of recommendations for the area. Thank you for being dog friendly! Would stay again for sure!

Ultra clean & spacious apartment with private access. Amazingly comfortable bed, great shower with nice toilettries, nice glasses & crockery. Linda had thoughtfully left breakfast provisions: eggs, bread, butter, milk, and beautiful chocolate. Access to a long, flat, sandy beach is next to the neighbours house. Thanks Linda & Shane

Me and my friends had the best stay at Suzanne’s place! It was perfect for what we needed and was an easy walking distance everywhere in the town! Could not recommend staying here.

Great apartment, had everything and exactly what we were looking for. Good location for access to city. Great value.

Very comfortable stay. Air-conditioned place. So we felt comfortable even when the temperatures reached 5-6C in the night. Kitchen well equipped. Was very happy to see that Neal has only used eco friendly products be it the kitchen dish wash liquid or Bath (liquid soap, shampoo, conditioner). Products made by people with disability shows their concern to nature and people. Cruelty free (no animal testing) products stand out as well. Good restaurants nearby and one can easily. Can walk across to any of them easily. The only challenge was the work space which was a bit inconvenient for sitting and working for longer duration. Overall a very comfortable place for 2 people to stay while visiting/staying at Palmerston North.

Very clean and easy one night stop. Alvero was clear in the check in instructions. Room was well presented, lots of light. Bed was quite firm but I slept well despite Wellington gale winds, the double glazing kept it cozy! Clean bathroom. Quick chat with Alvero who was very nice. 30 min walk from CBD or 10 mins on frequent bus route, stop right outside. Felt safe for solo female traveller.

I had a wonderful stay at Wei’s place! She was an extremely helpful and thoughtful host—always quick to respond and genuinely caring. The house itself was beautiful, clean, and felt very welcoming. I felt right at home during my stay. I truly appreciate everything Wei did to make the experience so smooth and comfortable. Highly recommend staying here!

This is a beautiful loft apartment. Everything we needed was provided. The bed was very comfortable, and the roof skylight to watch the stars was an unexpected treat. Having off-street parking was convenient. Security lights helped us find the door at night. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to book it again next year.
