Come and stay in our beautifully finished, tin shepherds hut at the bottom of our garden. We are located in the rolling countryside with extensive views over the vale of York. After a day of exploring this AONB, there’s nothing like cooking tea over the fire pit or wood pellet pizza oven followed by a dip under the stars in our rustic hot tub. Grooms Cottage by Sheriff Hutton Castle Near York

Grooms Cottage is on a private estate right next to the ruins of Sheriff Hutton Castle. The property is in a peaceful setting but only two minutes walk away from the village pub and post office/general store. Our cottage was completely renovated in 2021 and is in a great location for walkers, cyclists, and explorers. It’s about 10 miles from both York and Malton, Castle Howard is under 6 miles away, and the coast can be reached in under an hour. Grooms Cottage sleeps 4 guests+2 babies +dogs

This private getaway with 1 kingsize bed, set in the rural village of Sheriff Hutton, in the grounds of the C14th castle ruins. Located 20 minutes north of York by car, 1 hour from Whitby. Relax in the evening on your south facing balcony with a 180° view, gaze up at a starry night or across to the ruins, after visiting York, nearby Castle Howard or walking/biking in the Howardian Hills AONB. Parking, self-contained, self-check. We also have 2 other self contained units, for friends or family.

Unwind in our stunning 2 bed barn conversion with its high beamed ceilings and bright and airy open plan living space, all fitted out to a high standard. The property is situated on our working farm in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, 2 miles from Malton. A perfect base for biking , walking or visiting the North Yorkshire moors , East coast or York. There are lots of local village pubs within 2.5 miles of us where you can go for a drink or meal or even visit the food capital of Malton

York Garden House

The York garden house stands under a oak tree in our garden, with private entrance. The garden, fire pit area (where you can toast marshmallows or use a disposable BBQ) and the glass roofed seating area/patio (to enjoy a takeaway from the village) are entirely yours to use. The garden room is also very private. It is a small, cosy & warm ( similar to glamping pod) There are electric radiators and its cosy on winter nights. It has two small single beds. Log burner is for aesthetics.

New to the holiday let market, "The Sty" offers a cosy, but spacious barn with original beams, underfloor heating and countryside views. Special touches make your stay a little different to elsewhere...a king size bed with luxurious bedding, the robes and slippers, Netflix and Nespresso, bath and shower to name a few. Following a day seeing the sites of York, a daytrip for some sea air, or exploring our beautiful towns and countryside, guests will look foward to retreating to the Sty.

Idyllic and stylish private cottage by the stream

Our country cottage has been completely renovated into a beautiful and stylish home. It is situated in an idyllic setting overlooking a stream in the North Yorkshire countryside, 4 miles from the small market town of Malton. This is an extremely peaceful place, entirely surrounded by fields. The cottage is semi-detached with a quiet neighbour. The cottage accommodates 4 adults, a child and a baby, in 3 bedrooms: 1 (king) double, 1 with two singles, 1 with smaller bed and cot.

Brandrith Farm Cottage

Brandrith Farm Cottage is a 1 bedroom dog friendly holiday let/ B&B situated in the Howardian Hills AONB on a working farm. 15 miles from York, 8 miles from Malton and on the doorstep to Castle Howard, The Yorkshire Arboretum in Castle Howard and Yorkshire Lavender. The Yorkshire Dales, Moors, Wolds and Coast are only a short drive away. Public footpaths and cycle routes directly from the cottage. Village stores, pubs and a bakery all within a 2 mile radius.

Set at the top of the village green with views of Sheriff Hutton Castle, our cottage is a luxurious rural retreat, furnished by an interior designer. The village has strong connections with Richard III, and is ideally situated to explore medieval York, Castle Howard, the North York Moors or the Yorkshire coast. There is a shop/Post Office, and walking routes right outside the door. The village pub, The Highwayman, serves good pub grub.
