Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Formia

This was hands down the best Airbnb experience we’ve ever had. On our way back to Naples, we planned a stop at the legendary Franco Pepe’s Pepe in Grani—but the real highlight came afterward: a hidden gem in the countryside. The 200-year-old house is a perfect blend of old-world charm and modern comfort—beautifully designed, tastefully decorated, and fully equipped. Surrounded by views, farm animals, and orange trees, it was so peaceful we wished we’d based our whole trip here. The hosts, Ilaria and her husband, were incredibly warm and thoughtful—like old friends. He picked fresh oranges, she made juice, and they even brought us fresh cheese and bread for breakfast. A tour of their farm was the cherry on top. With small shops and cozy local cafes nearby, this place was simply perfect. A true hidden gem!

Giovanni was a great host and the apartment was very relaxing with beautiful scenery.

We were very warmly welcomed with various delicacies and fires in the fireplace! Silvana and her husband were very, very hospitable and helpful - we'd love to come back! The small village is located at the top of a mountain and it is very quiet - except for the dog across the street. Groceries can be bought downstairs in the city.

Amazing! Gorgeously laid out and designed. You will not regret staying here. Valentino was incredibly patient with us since we arrived later than expected and helped secure is a reservation for dinner (delicious!). We highly recommend!

Motorcycle host available and welcoming, the house is perfect for three or four people, it is in the upper part of the hills, quiet and peaceful, has everything you need: rooms, kitchen, bathroom and living room all equipped with the necessary, fireplace, barbecue and terrace with beautiful views make the stay special! Recommended!

I recommend this house more than more than more. Especially having stayed in other houses before… and especially Francesca She is friendly, kind, caring. The house is extremely well equipped with sheets, towels, flour, sugar …. Everything you need The pool, the balls⚽️, the sunbathing, the calm, the beautiful garden is very pleasant and relaxing I would definitely stay again and the kids would too. a small home ideal for discovering the Matese and its landscapes. The apartment is located in a small typical alley. You have to leave the car on the main street, but it's not too far away. the views are stunning from the windows. It's perfect to go to Lake Matese

on the whole great stay - but 2 flights of stairs so limit your luggage and no parking on street - car park around 40 euros per night so dont hire a car if staying in naples city..........

Maria was so welcoming and happy to host us. The view is great- you can see across Long Lake and to the ocean. We got fresh lemons and oranges from their green houses. We didn’t have enough time and the weather wasn’t good enough for bikes but she would have let us borrow some. The bed was comfortable and apartment spacious!

What a nice house! Even though we were there before a death, we really had a home feeling. Beautiful, quiet and clean home. The communication was very good. We will definitely be back soon! Found a nice place to return to my homeland more often. Thank you for everything.

Luigi & Elena’s place exceeded our expectations. Check-in was very flexible due to flight issues but Luigi was very easy to communicate with. Once we got there, Luigi hand delivered our keys and showed us all the in’s and out’s of the apartment, super helpful. The apartment itself was very clean, well stocked, and well decorated. They even had a bottle of wine and some treats waiting for us! Can’t forget the unbelievable view from the penthouse. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The house met our expectations. Cozy, quiet and airy with a beautiful view of the sea. We went with a 7-month-old child and it was perfect for our needs, allowing us to enjoy the patio during the hottest hours and then go down to the sea in the late night. Wide availability of beaches nearby. Giorgia provided us with a cot. Host is very quick to respond to every question and need.

Emanuele's place is the absolute best, I mean, magical on its own but also wonderful because of the host himself. He met us late at night to check in and when we hadnt eaten, tried to get us to take the food he had at home. He was the absolute most accomodating and friendly host I've met on AirBNB even after 15? years on it. The second night he and his partner welcomed us to dinner at their little restaurant downstairs and IT. WAS. INCREDIBLE. They hosted only us and gave us such an incredible meal, and such incredible wine and company, I truly cant recommend it enough. The AirBnB is absolutely stunning on its own....but also...the host really makes the experience.

Antonio is a fantastic host, extremely helpful and very attentive to the needs of his guests. The house is large, comfortable and extremely functional. We had a great time, highly recommended!!

The Villa was amazing I would defanatly recommend staying here to anyone, it was very clean had everything we needed comfortable and the host was there with any questions we had she even lent us some bikes to get around on as we did not hire a car but it is easy to walk into the town, there is a supermarket right around the corner witch was very convenient, amazing villa amazing host that went above and beyond to make us feel right at home if I could give more than 5 stars I would it was perfect.

Eleonora was a great host! Also responsive and helpful with our numerous questions. The house is well equipped and the pool was perfect, even for begging of October. The area is calm and enjoyed it to relax with our baby. Thank you Eleonora!

A perfect place for rest and relaxation

The house was really very nice and very clean, just like in the photos, quiet area with plenty of space available to relax and enjoy a beautiful weekend with friends. Very welcoming host and always available for any questions or requests. Recommended for a weekend of pure relaxation😊

Incredible stay! However, be warned, you must be prepared to travel via taxi or have your own car! I unknowingly booked without realizing how inaccessible by foot / public transport this location is. But that was on me. About 30 min car ride to Naples. The space on the other hand is quite large, lovely, homey and romantic. The host is INCREDIBLE! One of the nicest people I’ve ever met. She offered to drive us to a pizza spot after our late check in, knowing that some of us were hungry. She even set up a taxi to pick us up from the airport, since she knows we don’t speak the language. Went above and beyond and felt so welcomed. All in all, great stay, phenomenal host, and romantic scenery.

We had a truly wonderful stay. The hosts were exceptionally kind, thoughtful, and always ready to help—every time we had a question or a small issue, they responded incredibly quickly and warmly. The house is beautifully decorated, full of charm and character, and the surrounding views are simply stunning. As is often the case with older houses, getting a consistently warm shower took a bit of patience now and then—but that’s just part of the charm. One of the highlights of our trip was the incredible adventure in the Falvaterra caves—absolutely unforgettable, and the perfect complement to the peaceful atmosphere of the house. And we must mention the sweetest little dog, who often came by to say hello and happily accepted all the cuddles and scratches. We felt very well taken care of and would happily return!

Elisabetta's home is delicious, nicer than it looks in the photos. It is equipped with everything, has a nice patio to eat and relax, but above all it is a short walk from the sea! My friends and I had a great time and recommend it

Amelia and her husband were fantastic guests. Their house has everything you need, including a fully equipped kitchen, etc. We didn't use the pool because it was low season, but I imagine it would be a nice addition to the property!
