The Byre

SarahRating, 5 stars9 months ago
This is the most beautiful Airbnb we have ever stayed in. It was simply fabulous. The meticulous attention to detail that has been shown in the restoration of The Byre is quite incredible and it felt like a privilege to stay there for a couple of days..The area is lovely and the number of interesting places to go and see made this property absolutely perfect for a weekend. We would highly recommend staying here and truly hope to be back ourselves. Whilst staying at The Byre we visited Farley Farm to see the Lee Miller exhibition and to tour the house and we also visited Charleston. A "must visit" is the bookshop in Alfriston, and a cup of tea at the incredibly friendly Singing Kettle. We even managed a swim in the sea in Eastbourne. A truly memorable weekend.
A serene landscape showcases a calm reservoir bordered by lush greenery and a field of wildflowers in bloom. Rolling hills rise in the background under a clear blue sky, reflecting a peaceful countryside setting ideal for leisurely walks and nature observation.

Oak Barn, close to South Downs and Alfriston

DeborahRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a lovely stay at a charming accommodation that featured exposed beams and other quirky details. It was located in a remote area, ideal for enjoying beautiful country walks, and there was a nearby reservoir perfect for dog walking. The train station was conveniently close, offering trains to Eastbourne and Brighton. The property also had a delightful little enclosed garden. Overall, it was a wonderful break for us and our dog, made even more special by the thoughtful treats left by Kevin, which included eggs, sausages, bread, and milk.

Escape to the Sea

JacquelineRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We were in Hastings to catch Jack Dee and only booked one night. Tanya is really great to communicate with responsive and friendly. Finding and getting in is easy. The communal hallway/ stairs are tatty but my lord it doesn’t matter when you see the view from the living room. It’s absolutely stunning. The flat is spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen is cute and all you need. The bedroom is large, so quiet we had such a good sleep. Wish we had booked longer as I could stare out at the sea for hours! Great flat! Would not hesitate to stay again.

Chocolate-box pretty Pear Tree Cottage

RonaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Beautiful chocolate-box cottage I've admired for years! Very comfortable, great amenities, near the Downs for walking or easy drives to nearby Lewes, Eastbourne, Brighton or surrounding villages. Or, like me, you could just relax and enjoy the cosy cottage itself!

Peter was very accommodating and made sure my quick stopover in Eastbourne went well. The bed was comfy and all necessities were provided. I especially appreciated the adapters and bottled water left in the room.
