Vacation rentals with a kayak in Flanders

We had a great stay on the Panther; Louise and Nicholas were great hosts. The boat is a very quirky and cool place to stay. The location is a bit ‘out of the way’ and is a short bus or tram from the busy city centre but we found it a relaxing place to return to after a day of sightseeing. Louise recommended a couple of local spots - for brunch and a brewery for dinner - which were both great. The accommodation was comfortable and warm. The sleeping arrangements were ok for our family - our two young boys shared the small bedroom with bathroom - but wouldn’t work for others. But it would be a cool place for a couple to stay. The boat was warm and cosy, even in December. And when the stove malfunctioned, Louise quickly provided us an alternative heater. It would be fun to stay in the summer so we could enjoy the roof terrace! Louise was a very friendly, helpful and responsive host! We had lovely time.

It was a tremendously pleasant and cozy accommodation. Everything we needed was present. We were 10 minutes from the city center, which was ideal to leave the car on the boat in the free parking. Breakfast was definitely sufficient and in order. We could eat this cozily in the sun on the private terrace in a very quiet area. Finally, Maarten himself was extremely hospitable and easily accessible. It was a very nice experience and definitely recommended.

Fantastic stay! The Airbnb was perfect for a relaxing weekend. The sauna and jacuzzi were an absolute added value and provided pure relaxation. The accommodation was clean, cozy and equipped with all the necessary facilities. The host was friendly and responded quickly to questions. Definitely recommended for those looking for peace and luxury!

Blissfully relax in a beautiful quiet location. Krista and Bernard are extremely hospitable people who give you your privacy and make you enjoy everything their yard has to offer. Definitely recommended !

The house is super nice and cozy. Nothing is missing so far. Attention, sauna and hot tub must be heated with wood. Don't be shy about this. The sauna was in a neat, clean condition (lying down not possible). The hot tub was clean and prepared with chlorine. You have to let in the water yourself, so you also know directly that it is fresh. Unfortunately, the lighting doesn't work here. The garden/outdoor area could use some care and attention to rank it even higher. The hammock was unusable, unfortunately full of bird droppings. We reported minor defects or defective utensils to the landlord. They reacted positively to the information and would like to respond. If you want to experience an undisturbed break paired with wellness and a beautiful, idyllic location among many trees, this is the place to be. Thanks for the pleasant weekend. 😃👍🏼

Mattis' captain's apartment is a very special place. It is located on an old barge that has found its probably last mooring on the trading dock. The old load cranes paired with the newly created apartments next to old harbor and industrial facilities create a unique ambience. The apartment itself is simple and functional, the photos give a good impression. When the weather is nice in April, it gets warm quickly during the day in the cabin, while it cools down significantly overnight and the pellet stove is more than necessary in the morning. The apartment is quiet overall, but you have to be aware that such an old ship also makes a creaking. Mattis is a very friendly host who responds to problems as quickly as possible and gave us very good tips on restaurants and beer. We felt at home from the beginning and can only recommend the captain's apartment.

Great place to stay with a large party. The boat was great fun, and not too far to walk to the centre. There's a decent amount of amenities if you want to cook, and the drinks fridge is a great touch. Highly recommend.
