The hosts provided crystal-clear instructions that made check-in and our entire stay effortless. Their lightning-fast responses and insider tips for exploring Fatih brought our Istanbul adventure to life in the best way possible. The location is an absolute dream—tucked away in a quiet, private haven with a spacious, secluded garden that became our favorite spot to unwind. Having a parking lot just two minutes away was a game-changer, adding incredible convenience in this bustling area. Yet, we were mere steps from vibrant restaurants and the captivating charm of Fatih’s historic heart. We’re beyond grateful for this unforgettable experience, and we can't wait to be back!

Me encantó mi estadía en la casa de Yusuf. En primer lugar, no puedo estar más agradecido por la hospitalidad y amabilidad de Yusuf. Siempre estuvo atento a lo que necesitaba, y estoy profundamente agradecido porque incluso me llevó a la estación de tren cuando tuve que salir temprano en la mañana. En cuanto a la ubicación, fue muy fácil de encontrar, ya que se encuentra en una ubicación privilegiada con varias estaciones de transporte público principales a poca distancia. Esto hizo que moverme por la ciudad fuera muy conveniente. La limpieza de la casa fue impecable, tanto en la habitación, el baño y la cocina. Además, puedo asegurar que la casa está equipada con una serie de comodidades, como lavandería, agua caliente y una excelente presión de agua. El internet también funcionó perfectamente durante toda mi estadía, lo que fue fundamental para las múltiples videollamadas que tuve que realizar.

The entire experience with the host staff and the apartment itself was excellent. Communications before & during our stay was timely & helpful. The early check-in was much appreciated by our group as we landed at 6:30am after a long flight. The host arranged for affordable transportation to/from the airport which was a big help. The unit itself was clean and comfortable. Everyone enjoyed the comfort of the beds. The elevator was helpful to get our luggage up to the 4th floor bedroom room level. The kitchen is well stocked with the basic supplies. There are three different coffee makers. Not familiar with these fancy machines, we could have used some basic instruction on their use rather then trial and error. Once we figured out the main machine everyone enjoyed their own style of coffee. Not familiar with non-venting dryers we learned to empty the water holding reservoir to keep the dryer efficiently working. Overall it was a perfect place for the 8 of us attending a wedding.

Fue muy buena la estancia en el alojamiento de Mehmet, siempre estuvo pendiente y respondía rápidamente cuando fue necesario. Está bien ubicado, a 15 minutos caminando de las principales mezquitas, hay muchas opciones para comer a los alrededores.

A magical escape in the heart of historic Istanbul! Our stay at this Balat apartment was absolutely incredible. The flat was spotless, spacious, and well-equipped with everything from a modern kitchen and smart TVs to air conditioning and central heating. The real highlight, though, was the 100 sqm terrace — the views of the sea, Golden Horn, and city skyline were breathtaking. Whether dining under the stars or relaxing in the cozy winter dome with a PS5, the space was perfect year-round. The location is unbeatable — just steps from the sea, tram, ferry, and steeped in rich history and charm. We loved exploring nearby sacred springs, churches, and local cafes. Communication with the host was smooth and everything matched the listing perfectly. Thank you for an amazing stay. We’ll definitely be back!

Наша первая поездка в Стамбул и мы очень рады, что остановились именно в этом районе и именно у Ильяза. При следующей поездке остановимся тут снова. Это жилье сочетает в себе сразу множество факторов. Огромная мягкая и удобная постель с новым матрасом, современная сантехника, терраса (которую можно сделать открытой или закрытой по желанию). Душ очень приятный и чистый, много горячей воды, и красивое естественное освещение. При жаркой погоде было очень комфортно и прохладно.Жилье сочетает в себе современный ремонт, но при этом присутствует атмосфера старины здания, красивые деревянные полы. Есть все необходимое для готовки. Ночью в этом месте тихо, мы крепко спали. Кошка Биттер приходила к нам в гости каждый вечер, и даже спала со мной в обнимку несколько ночей. Хочу отдельно поблагодарить хозяйку в кафе на первом этаже, я плакала когда мы уезжали. Это человек очень большой души, завтраки, которые вы получите проживая в этой квартире вы не найдете лучше во всём Стамбуле.

We loved Karay’s House! It was perfect for our group of 5 ladies. We each had our own private apartment- all were Very clean The location is perfect! Easy to walk to restaurants and shops Highly recommended

Appartement spacieux et charmant avec ses plafonds de briques incroyables, un beau parquet, de belles fenêtres. Idéalement situé dans le quartier cool et branché de Galata. Tout était impeccablement propre, et nous avons aimé nous y relaxer chaque soir après nos visites. Si je reviens un jour à Istanbul, je serais ravie de séjourner de nouveau là-bas !

Great place in cool neighborhood. Lots of coffee cafes, restaurants, shops,etc. and close to Taskim Square. Tram or walking to Galata, shopping or over to Asian side. Good size apartment. Plenty of grocery available and the street is quiet and quaint. Deniz and Derya were both very responsive hosts and great to work with. Would recommend

It was very nice stay. We’ve been greeted and recommended the places to go with map. The room is cleaned once every two days. It was exactly as per the photos and descriptions.

I had a great stay at this Airbnb! The location was absolutely amazing, and the host and Yunus were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout my time there. One thing to keep in mind is that you’ll need to climb 5 flights of stairs as there is no elevator, which can be a bit challenging. Also, the Wi-Fi didn’t work reliably during my stay. However, these were minor inconveniences compared to the overall experience. I’d definitely recommend it for the fantastic location and the wonderful hospitality!

Wow, the other reviews said it, but the amazing penthouse view cannot be understated. After the crowded density of Istanbul, especially the tourist areas, having this spot to look out over it all was such a welcome breath of fresh air, literally. The terrace is uniquely located so it has one of the best views in the whole Galata area, and it truly enhanced our trip experience to start and end our days looking out over the city. The apartment itself is clean, attractive, airy, and spacious. Both the bed and living room daybed were very comfortable, and everything worked well. Check-in and communication were fast, responsive, and kind. Adam even sent help for us to bring our luggage up the many flights of stairs to the penthouse. Tourist attractions were within easy walking or transit distance, but the building is on a chill side street that felt much more peaceful and secluded. A gem in old Istanbul, highly recommend!

Gayet güzel bir konaklama deneyimiydi. Lokasyon zaten en büyük artısı. Tramvay ve metro direkt olarak dibinizde. Ayrıca galata köprüsüne yakın olmanız geçiş ihtiyaçlarınızda çok yardımcı oluyor. Resimlerde görüş gibiydi tek eksi olarak ev büyük olduğu için klima yetersiz kalıyor. Giriş sağlamadan önce soğutma amaçlı klimayı açmışlardı güzel bir düşünce fakat klimanın yeri ve dairenin büyüklüğüne göre yetersiz olması sebebi ile dairenin içinin serin olması 1 güne yakın sürdü. Bunun dışında her şey harikaydı.

The host was always responsive and easy to communicate. We liked how calm were the surroundings while it was easy to reach everything we needed by walking. The bathroom is worth renovating but we didn't mind it, and everything was spotless clean.

The apartment was just as described—clean, stylish, and comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. The location was also ideal, close to great restaurants and shops. What really stood out was the hospitality. Drew and his team were exceptional—responsive, helpful, and genuinely caring. Drew’s being a native English speaker made communication effortless, which was a huge plus. This was our first time choosing an Airbnb over a hotel in Istanbul, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Every detail was taken care of, and we felt completely supported throughout our stay. We’re leaving with beautiful memories and already looking forward to returning. Akın Bey her konuda çok yardımcı oldu. Evde rahat etmemiz için uğraştığını hissettik. Ev çok sıcak bi ortamdı, keyifliydi. Ev 9 kişilik gözüküyor ama iki kişinin uyuyacağı yer küçük bir L koltuk. Bizim için sıkıntı olmadı ama göz önünde bulundurulmalı.
