Vacation rentals in Farnstädt

Lovely apartment The apartment was almost too big for a week-long Harz vacation. Very nicely furnished and modern wallpapered. In the kitchen, everything important was available from coffee to baking paper. Our personal highlight was the balcony overlooking the Wurmberg and Brocken. The location is perfect for various excursion destinations in the Harz Mountains. For shopping (in the supermarket), however, you have to drive by car to Braunlage. All in all a great apartment with perfect amenities and wonderful views – we will be happy to come back!

A really nice place in prime location! Were here for 2 nights and felt right at home. Everything you need, super clean and cozy. Free parking for the car is also in the vicinity, everything is really super accessible!

The apartment is super nice and quiet right around the corner from the Elfenstein. If you want to eat something quickly in the evening, the situation is not so well suited, but the apartment is well equipped to provide for yourself - even with a dishwasher in the kitchenette. The apartment is beautifully large for two (+pet) and offers a wonderful view from the large living room windows. Communication with the hosts was super straightforward with clear and helpful information about flexible check-in with a lockbox. Definitely a recommendation for those who want to have their peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the forest!

We had a wonderful stay! Our travel plans changed last minute, and the hosts were incredibly accommodating, quickly updating the lock combination for us without any hassle. When we initially had trouble getting the heat to work, they responded immediately and even brought portable heaters—though in the end, we didn’t need them. The apartment is stocked with so many useful items—coffee filters, detergent, plenty of bathroom essentials, and even a straightening iron. But the absolute highlight was the beautiful decor. You can tell that the place was furnished with real love and attention to detail, perfectly capturing the style of the time period. From the plate clock above the kitchen door to the heavy wool blanket in the sitting room, every little touch felt intentional. The lamps, chests, dishes—simply amazing! A truly special place. We’d absolutely stay here again!

We had a nice Easter weekend in the beautiful Harz and this apartment. The apartment is really super neat, clean and cozy. Everything you need is available, beds already made, towels are ready, beautiful view from the balcony down to the village and a cozy atmosphere. The contact with the Baumann family went great and responded very quickly. There are many things to explore in Braunlage and are quickly at many hotspots. Super recommended is the Wurmberg cable car, the Oderteich for walking or other cities nearby. All in all it was a lovely stay and highly recommend!

Lovely flat very well situated for the city centre. Tram only 150 meters away. You are in the city centre in about 20 minutes. Despite being so close to the main road, the flat was very peaceful and quiet. Supermarket and take away/restaurants nearby. The supermarket is open until 22:00hrs and is well stocked. The flat was very clean. We traveled from the UK by car and parking is available outside. It has a lovely balcony which would be lovely in the summer. We would definitely stay again.
