The house is located on a small farm in north Iceland. Guests have a lot of privacy in the house as it stands alone. You might see our horses and even sheep close to the house. Our dog and cat are friendly and might pay you a visit. You can go for short walks among horses, sheep and birds in a varied landscape. During the winter, there is a unique experience to sit in the hot tub and watch the northern lights. The house is a good place for home office due to high speed wi-fi and facilities.

In the summertime there is access to a lake and a lot of beautiful walking trails and hikes in the surrounding mountains. In the wintertime this is an absolute paradise for skiing and all kinds of winter sports and activities. On the property is a small forest, a lot of birdlife and it feels like you are million miles away from the nearest town.

Walking paths are along the lakes and to surrounding places. Minimum rental is 2 nights.

Nordic Cottage by the Lake

Our Cottage is one of a kind. It's modern, yet rustic, with large windows in all direction for the best view over the lake and mountains. It sits in a hill above Lake Ólafsfjörður and comes with a fishing permit. There is no light pollution in the area and therefore the winter nights light up the stars and the Northern Lights. The cottage is spacious with a double bed room and an attic with a beautiful view. Its only 5min drive from town Ólafsfjörđur.
