Cozy and clean cabin with all the basic essentials. I felt safe and comfortable as a solo traveler. Kitchen is well-stocked with tools needed for cooking. Location is a good launching point to explore the peninsula. Einar is a communicative and responsive host. Thank you!

We booked very last minute after seeing that the KP Index was high and wanted to try and capture northern lights over the iconic Kirjufell. This place is isolated with little light pollution giving us an opportunity to see northern lights from the balcony. Unfortunately, it was crazy windy when we stayed so way too cold to enjoy the outdoor sky gazing after returning from Kirkjufell. The place is gorgeous, well furnished, and had all the necessary amenities. Kjartan sent messages with necessary info when I first booked the place. I always try to keep our host informed of our plans and our arrival time. Kjartan was the first who did not respond to any of my messages. Fortunately, his location is not hard to find and we had no issues. However, if you need something, Kjartan may be hard to reach. Otherwise, we had a great 1 night stay here.

Such a beautiful setting, authentic and peaceful. They allowed us to hike the property, up to the waterfall and through the hills. absolutely picturesque. If you are looking for a stay on a farm that allows you to see back in time what Iceland felt and looked like 50 years ago, the peace and tranquility, unplugged from the world, this is it. That is in addition to the amazing view across the valley to the Atlantic Ocean, unlimited hot water from the ground, and delicious fresh water for drinking. Highly recommended.
