In one of the most beautiful regions of Île-de-France, on the edge of the Rambouillet forest, in the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse, with a wonderful view of peaceful pastures where horses graze, the Domaine du Cerf Volant is an enchanted haven of peace 1 hour from Paris by car (or train), close to Versailles and the beauties of Île-de-France. Far from the roads and the hustle and bustle, it is a 2-hectare green setting, set with majestic oaks, bordered by a stream and punctuated by a small pond.

My cabin in the woods

Unique and quiet place. Back to the basics, nothing more, no extras. The house is surrounded by ancient oak trees. The grounds are spacious. One observes deer, does, and birds. A wood stove pampers and warms up our reading evenings. Nights are silent. One sleeps well. 5G networks is very efficient, even for streaming. Hiking surroundings, horseback riding, and cycling. The neighbors are about a hundred meters away. Small shops are a 5-minute drive away and all amenities are 20 minutes away.

Enjoy the charming setting of this romantic accommodation in the heart of nature. The cottage is a bit dated, it is not uncommon to come across a few small spiders, a small oven. It is an old hunting lodge that I decorated in my own way. A word to those who seek luxury or the cleanliness of a dental office. The water is changed every day, the towels too, and the cleaning is done. Scientist and microscope of hygiene abstained.

We live in a small village near Chartres and its cathedral (8km), at 12km from Maintenon and its castle, and 1 hour from Paris. Walking/cycling trails and pilgrimage paths start literally 2 min from our place. It's quite and cosy here and the cabbin is completely independant from the main house. Moreover, we are located at 6km from the aquatic complex "Odysée", which is the biggest in Europe.

We offer a studio equipped with a kitchenette, bathroom and spacious bedroom where you can enjoy the calm of the countryside. The decoration is neat and cozy. From May you can enjoy the pool area (the pool is heated and reserved only for cottage tenants and owners) You have private access to the accommodation, a terrace for lunch and a parking space adjoining the chalet.

La maison en bois de mon père se trouve en lisière de la forêt de Rambouillet, idéale pour des balades en forêt. Il y a trois grandes chambres et une salle de bain. La décoration atypique reste sobre. C'est une maison simple, bien chauffée en hiver grâce à un poêle à granulé. La maison est accolée à un manège équestre où il y a parfois des cours pour les enfants.
