Monthly Rentals in Essex

Lovely home and would 100% visit again. The porch sitting over Lake Champlain is one of a kind - we saw many of the surrounding properties from the water during our time in Essex and I don’t think there’s another porch in town with that type of water view - can’t beat it! We spent 10 days in late August with our 3 yr old daughter and some grandparents in/out over the course of the visit. The home was perfect for our getaway. The hosts, Lisa and John were flexible and welcoming. The space had everything we needed for our stay - kitchen was great and we cooked many meals at home. The open kitchen/dining/living floor plan is perfect for spending time together and so cozy… all alongside an unbeatable view.

This house is absolutely lovely. It was the perfect place for our family to spend a few days together before taking our eldest to college. The art in this home is wonderful and there is something to be discovered on every wall, nook and cranny. The spacious kitchen was perfect for many people to be cooking at the same time and the sun room was the perfect place to sit and chat and watch the cows! Chauntel and Pierre were lovely hosts, and very responsive. The area is remote but that is why you go to the Adirondack’s right? We had a gorgeous full moon one of the nights and the skies were beautiful. We did not eat out nearby but enjoyed a day trip to Lake Placid and the many mountain towns nearby. Finally, the grocery store closest to the house has a one star yelp rating and I have to say that people at the Village Meat Market were very kind and we observed some fellow travelers have a box of groceries fall out of their car, the entire staff came out to help. Fantastic Stay!!

This is a beautiful old farmhouse, comfortably kitted out for relaxing and enjoyable stays at any time of year. My bed had a comfortable new mattress. The kitchen was well kitted-out, with everything we needed for cooking breakfasts and dinners. And there were several hundred books on the shelves, fiction and non-fiction, for leisurely reading - perhaps in the living room rocking chair or sitting on the front porch. The morning of our arrival I sent Cory and Kristin a message telling them we planned to arrive around 5pm, when it is already dark in early December in upstate New York, and they turned the lights and the heat on so that it would be comfortable when we arrived. That was an especially thoughtful touch. I look forward to going back!
