Monthly Rentals in Essex

Lovely home and would 100% visit again. The porch sitting over Lake Champlain is one of a kind - we saw many of the surrounding properties from the water during our time in Essex and I don’t think there’s another porch in town with that type of water view - can’t beat it! We spent 10 days in late August with our 3 yr old daughter and some grandparents in/out over the course of the visit. The home was perfect for our getaway. The hosts, Lisa and John were flexible and welcoming. The space had everything we needed for our stay - kitchen was great and we cooked many meals at home. The open kitchen/dining/living floor plan is perfect for spending time together and so cozy… all alongside an unbeatable view.

James is a wonderful and knowledgable host who is willing to do whatever is needed to improve guest experience. He was incredibly responsive to any questions or requests and was very courteous and friendly. As other guests have mentioned, he offered to go out and pick up some food for me when I first arrived. I was fortunate to have a few conversations with James about Essex and the history of his AirBnB during my stay, and I really appreciated how informative and kind he is to guests.

Betsy and her husband are incredibly kind and welcoming. They know all the hot spots and where to run errands if you’re in a pinch. Their property is gorgeous and especially perfect in the summer time. I highly recommend this spot.

This place was amazing, quite relaxing tiny little town. Probably the cleanest place I've ever stayed. Had the perfect amenities for a long weekend. Didn't get a chance to enjoy the fire pits because of rain but covered porch was nice. Felt like no one was around but easily able to drive to civilization. I would 100% come back and so glad I found this place.
