Waterfront vacation rentals in Esperanza

We spent 4 nights here in February and had a fantastic experience. The apartment was absolutely spotless, and the whole place is maintained with obvious care and pride. The location is quiet and peaceful, with a lovely waterfront view and a dock. Everything is freshly and colorfully painted. The staff are extremely friendly: they helped us find breakfast, they lent us beach towels, and they helped us find a golf cart to rent. There is a kitchen in the apartment, but there is also a shared outdoor kitchen, where we grilled dinner one evening, and met another guest who shared some of his food (pasteles - a Puerto Rican treat). To be clear, this is a hostel, not a hotel: you need to supply your own toiletries, you will be woken up by roosters in the morning, the shower water is not very hot, and you may encounter some mosquitos. But if you want a friendly, super-clean establishment with nice neighbors and good value, this is a great option. We loved this place and hope to come back.

Phenomenal place to stay during our vacation in Vieques! The view can’t be beat…and the ability to open all the doors and windows brought the outdoors in allowing for full relaxation in this beautiful space. Luxurious! Beds were comfortable and each room has its own A/C and fan. Loved the outdoor showers! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to everyone we know!

Casa Coral was as beautiful as advertised inside and out! Just a few miles from Playa Flamenco and Playa Tamarindo also, which is super convenient. As a family who usually stays beachfront, we found that the "in town" feeling of Casa Coral was really enjoyable and that the grounds and set up really provided our own personal and private oasis. My daughter and I are snorkelers and Regina had us set with with snorkeling gear and kayaks as well which was so thoughtful. We're already planning a trip back!

We loved our stay here. It was so peaceful. We could hear and/or see the water from almost every room, and the roof top patio was a beautiful and relaxing retreat. The breeze coming in is perfect for the hotter days and the ACs in the bedrooms were great for sleeping. The location is a quick 7-10 min walk to the ferry and an easy 15 min walk into town. Checkin and checkout were straight forward, and communication with our host was great. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful gateway that is still close to amenities.

Victoria’s place was one of the nicest Airbnbs we have ever stayed. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The apartment’s location makes it easy to access the Vieques/Culebra ferries, El Yunque, and lots of nearby beaches. Victoria provided very detailed and clear check-in/out instructions. It was also nice to have the option to use the pool. And the roof deck was great for stargazing at night. We highly recommend a stay here!

Jose's place was perfect. We usually stay on the west side of the island and wanted to explore the east side. It's close to the ports, so we were able to spend a day in Culebra with no issues. It's hard to buy tickets online, so we were able to swing by and buy at the gate in advance. There was a blackout during our stay and Jose reached out right away with instructions to use the generator. The place was clean and well equipped. My son enjoyed the beach equipment and learned how to boogie board. The mattresses were pretty hard, but that seems to be common. Everything was clean and the roof top deck was amazing with a beautiful view. Would definitely stay again.

Bodde en uke i leiligheten som ligger i ett stille og rolig område med kjempehyggelige naboer. Gangavstand (ca 1,5 km) til sentrum. Vi hadde ikke leiebil, men brukte taxi når vi skulle på utflukter til andre siden av øya. Dette er ikke noe dyrere enn om en skulle leie bil. Dessuten så er taxisjåførene på øya hyggelige og veldig serviceorienterte, så du får masse informasjon om øya og steder en bør besøke. Mye av denne informasjonen hadde du ikke fått om du hadde kjørt rundt på egen hånd i leiebil. Leiligheten er godt utstyrt for strandliv og utflukter. Hvis jeg skulle reist tilbake til Vieques en gang i fremtiden, ville jeg absolutt prøvd å leie leiligheten til Janiela igjen. Kan virkelig anbefales.

Los Cocos was the perfect getaway for a week. The home sits right on the ocean, and the first thing you notice upon arrival is the soothing sound of the waves. Rene welcomed us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the property. The house was spotless and just the right size for the two of us. Inside, the home features an open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area. The furniture is comfortable and well-maintained, and the kitchen had everything we needed, though we only cooked breakfast. The house has one bathroom, which was in great working order. The two bedrooms are located off the main living space. While there’s no air conditioning, the ocean breeze keeps things comfortable most of the time. One night was particularly still, making it a bit warm for sleeping, but there are plenty of fans to help keep cool. The outdoor space is where we spent most of our time. There’s ample seating, along with two hammocks. The beach was an incredible bonus—we spent hours relaxing by the water

We loved our stay at the Sand beachfront. We can’t wait to come back and we’re already talking about our next trip. The views are breathtaking and unbeatable. The private pool is a wonderful luxury and we felt right at home. We had one very small hiccup of not having any trash bags and they quickly rectified the issue with clear and easy communication. We would recommend this to anyone.

It’s our 4th year having vacation in Vieques. This was the first year we lost power during the vacation. The house has the solar panels, we still had the WIFI to search online whats going on. We can use the pool. The outdoor grill can make food. It’s the best experience.

A special stay in a special place. The host was very responsive and helpful when we had an issue, which was resolved very promptly (and not really their fault). The place was in immaculate condition and was well stocked! Location was great, near the biobay, a well stocked convenience store which is walkable, and Malecon street with lots of restaurants. Neighborhood was a bit intimidating at first, then after settling in I felt safe and they even provided ear plugs for the roosters! What an experience, the family loved it!

We had such a wonderful stay at Coconut Cay! The house is in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Photos are accurate, and check-in was easy. The pool/back patio area was our favorite place to hang out--how wonderful it was to see and hear the ocean all the time! We appreciated the cool and quiet A/C in the bedrooms, and loved the ocean breezes that flowed through the rest of the house. As others have mentioned, some of the fixtures show evidence of exposure to the salt, but hey, what do you expect from a house that's right on the beach? We loved our stay on Vieques at Coconut Cay, and wouldn't hesitate to come back!

Review 12/10 would recommend! If you are looking for an oasis of relaxation and privacy after a day of exploring Vieques, look no further. We felt at home the moment we arrived. We visited with our 14 and 11 year old boys who loved having a separate suite and the friendly neighborhood dogs. The attention to detail within and around the home is lovely. We particularly loved having French press coffee by the pool in the morning surrounded by sounds of wildlife, the beautiful garden, and a friendly iguana visitor!

The view from inside to pool to ocean was uninterrupted and could not be beat - great at sunset! The home was as pictured and very clean. Not a lot of instruction but not much needed. The beach was very accessible and much nicer than expected; we enjoyed swimming and playing football. We enjoyed walking a few minutes into the small town for stores and restaurants. Very convenient to have parking in the driveway to go explore Vieques many beaches and parks. We had a great experience with the bioluminescent kayak trip and some diving off Mosquito Peer. Only light negatives: the folding doors and the drive were a little tricky to navigate. Would definitely recommend to friends!

We had a wonderful stay at Harry’s condo. Everything was as pictured. The condo was clean and comfortable. Beautiful view and walking distance to shops and restaurants. Harry was very helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Amy's ocean-view condominium apartment on the 21st Floor. The apartment is in one of two condos, which are gated by security staff. Her apartment is clean and comfortable, and her kitchen is well-stocked. Amy is super responsive and helpful and her instructions are clear and precise. As a local, she can provide recommendations to beaches and other places of interest.

This was one of the cleanest and well stocked Airbnb’s we have stayed in, we definitely will be booking again. Everything was nice and clean, view from balcony and building was great. The host were very responsive to any and all of our questions.

A perfect little beach paradise with an incredible view. Great space, small but nicely stocked kitchen, comfy bed, good wifi, and ahhhh that patio. Great bars and restaurants close by. Short walk to the beach. Pool was super clean. Dated building, but super nice people everywhere. Would definitely recommend renting. Note: elevator briefly went out of order, which is common among the Luquillo tower condos. Keep this in mind if you can't handle a lot of stairs!

We (parents, wife, son and I) had a great time at Harold’s place. We purchased some breakfast food and snacks at Puebla grocery store near by, are at don faustos, meson sandwiches, and okeah, which all had vegetarian options. We spent a day exploring beaches, another day at El Yunque and a third day snorkeling, all within 30 min drive. The whole island lost power, but the elevators kept working and the emergency lights in the building provided enough light to see. The apt is high enough that the breezes blew gently thru the night so not having ac wasn’t a problem. Also the balcony has solar lights which provided needed illumination in the evening when the power was out. The only issue to arise was that our whole family was stuck in the elevator for an hour when the electricity returned and we were unfortunately at the wrong place at the wrong time. Despite this, Harold helped us quickly resolve this, too. We know you’ll enjoy this place as much as we did!
