Pure Vida Mountain Lodge exceeded our expectations in every way. Lukasz was very welcoming. The home was charming and beautiful. The decor was inviting yet also possessed a museum like quality with all the really cool art, stained glass, and interesting personality of the house. We especially loved the geothermal hot tub and view. The living plants in the home were also a plus for us! We LOVED having living plants inside. The glass house over the creek bed was beautiful and the kids played soccer and on the zip line for hours while my husband and I enjoyed the sauna and hot tub. Everything about this place is amazing. Upon looking up the meaning of 'Pure Vida" I think our host nailed it. He referred to this home as his own little "Costa Rica". Pura Vida refers to a pure or simple life and embracing optimism in Costa Rica and we do believe that our host has captured all of this in his home and we are grateful for the opportunity to enjoy it.

What an incredible location! An easy drive to the major natural attractions in Southwest Iceland, but out in the country nestled on a fjord. The tiny apartment is a bit bare-bones, but comfortable and well-maintained. We would definitely recommend this as a peaceful home base.

Wow! what a beautiful villa to stay in. Absolutely pristine. Felt like a hotel but with everything you need to make your own food. Bonus to have a Dishwasher and Washer Drier too. Viktor made the stay easy and accessible without any problems. The shower was heavenly and powerful. I cannot fault anything. We would love to bring the family back here next time. And yes the horses were so friendly and let us stroke them. Amazing experience. Thank you so much xxx

We absolutely loved this house. It is so cozy and charming, and the scenery is gorgeous. It doesn't feel like a rental, it feels like a home. Gudrun Maria really pays attention to the details that make your stay comfortable.
