Cosy house with a breathtaking view

Hydra is a very popular island because of its picturesque capital, full of red-tiled houses and stone-paved narrow alleys. Hydra is one of the few areas in Greece for which there is preservation order. Access to the island of Hydra is easy It can be reached from the port of Piraeus by hydrofoil in just one and a half hour. The particularity of Hydra Greece is that all vehicles are prohibited, a fact which increases its charm. The house is in the middle of the amphitheatrical city of Hydra and it’s a 10-15 minute walk from the port. 2 floor house in the centre of Hydra Island with a breathtaking view which can be enjoyed from all the rooms of the house. On the ground floor the veranda has 2 levels. The 1st level outside the kitchen, is covered with ceramic tiles that provide cool and shade throughout the day, which makes it a pleasure to have all meals outside enjoying the beautiful view. On the 2nd level of the veranda you can sunbathe during the day or lie on comfortable chaise longues at night and have a cocktail under the stars. Entering the house there is a fully equipped kitchen, big oven with ceramic hobs, dishwasher and a 2nd mini fridge. One room which accommodates 2 people in 2 single beds with a WC- shower and a washing machine that you can use. This room can also be used as a dining room as there is a table for 6 people and it is quite spacious with 2 windows and a perfect view. On the 1st floor there are 2 bedrooms which sleep 4 people and a bathroom with a shower. Each bedroom has got 2 single beds (they have small wheels) which can be used either separately, or as double beds by joining them and putting an extra thin double mattress on top. There is an air-conditioning unit in each of the two bedrooms upstairs and 3 portable fans. Passing through the 1st room there is another veranda that gives a wider view of the island.

Sunset house in Hydra

Our parents build this wonderful house in the traditional architecture of Hydra. The house is located in the picturesque fisherman's harbour of Kamini, more quiet and peaceful compared to the lively and cosmopolitan port of Hydra. It is 15 min walk from the central port of Hydra (along a scenic road next to the sea) or 3 min by water taxi. The house is only 90 steps(usually are more than 200) from the Kamini sea side road but the spectacular view from the terrace make it worth the effort.

Grandmas Guest House

Grandmas Guest house belonged to our lovely grandmother Rose and our grandfather Panagiotis. We renovated the house in 2018 accordingly to traditional Hydriot style but is still comfortable and with all the modern amenities so the guests can feel like home. It is an independent cozy house,72 m2,on ground floor, is situated on the central road of the island, on Andrea Miaoulis str., and is about 8-12 minutes from the port on foot, without steps.

Very quiet, yet only 5 minutes by car to beaches and town. Located next to the mountains with beautiful hiking paths Only 20 minutes to Leonidio for amazing climbing Lots of Tourist attraction in the area. We had some trouble finding the house, but we were helped quickly and we were received in a very friendly manner. We found a well-equipped apartment. Although the outside temperature was very cold, the apartment could be heated pleasantly. We cooked a lot, the kitchen equipment was very good. We had enough hot water although there was little sun on many days. Everything worked well and if we had a problem or question, Paco responded immediately. Through the small windows not very much daylight comes into the apartment, but you can also have breakfast very well on the terrace in the sun. The place and all shops are quickly accessible, e.g. fresh bread in the morning can be easily picked up on foot. Some climbing sectors are directly accessible from the house. For us, the house had a perfect location, we slept very quietly here and also spent the rainy days very pleasantly. Thank you!

Didima is a beautiful little village in a perfect location! The house is perfectly situated in the town so that everything is walkable. There is so much to do! Many taverns and bars, a beautiful beach 5 mins away, cool caves to explore! Highly recommend. The house itself was easy to find thanks to the clear instructions, and the check in was flexible to suit us. The house is nice and cold - perfect for keeping cool in summer I'd imagine! It's simple and cosy, just like the pictures. The locals are super friendly and welcoming too, we felt right at home! We chose Didima on a whim, but it turned out to be one of the best places we visited in Greece!

Anna’s home was beautiful as was the location. Very close to some amazing restaurants on both sides of the peninsula. Easy walk to the ferry. We were made to feel like part of the family. Anna left us lovely fresh fruit, jams and water. Communication by Anna was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Perfect for us and we would definitely choose to stay here again if the opportunity arose. Thank you Anna.

We enjoyed our stay at the Summerhouse Spetses. The hosts were extremely helpful and always very responsive. We loved having access to the 2 bicycles! A much needed accessory for the island. The house was spacious. We were in a nice location. Pleasant walks to town and stores and eateries.
