Vacation rentals in Eriskay

Anke’s cottage on Barra is a slice of heaven. Dubbed “Barradise”, the island’s beauty, wild yet peaceful, is breathtaking. We enjoyed several hikes, each offering stunning views and serenity. The cottage, while a bit cold due to the season, was made warm by Anke’s care. She provided extra heaters and a kind partial refund for unnoticed storm damage. It’s cozy, with a special charm and an amazing sea view, offering magical sunrises. Can’t wait to return to this cozy haven!

This was a great place to stay - convenient to the local shop and local restaurant as well as just walking around, getting to the beach, and seeing the ponies! I felt right at home and enjoyed having a house. I did not need the two bedrooms upstairs but would probably stay here again even if I am not splitting the cost with someone. Mary was very responsive when I had an issue (which was easily resolved) and was flexible with my check in and check out (though I realize I was there in the off season and this may not be possible during the normal tourist season.)

what a lovely place this is! it truly feels like home away from home! the house is lovely, pristine clean, very well equipped for everything you need for a comfortable stay! the island is beautiful with spotless white beaches with amazing views on surrounding islands, hills covered with scattered sheep and ponies, this island should be called tranquility itself! locals are lovely and helpful and the AM Politician (nearby pub) serves nice food and drinks for reasonable prices; we absolutely recommend this place!

The Up Shed was a beautiful accommodation, My husband and I had a great time it had everything you needed, beds were comfortable, location was great right beside a beach within walking distance aswell as not to far from Eriskay, the quietness of the shed was bliss and Yvonne was great too she was there to meet us on checkin and was available straight away during our stay. We would defo recommend the Up Shed and if we are ever back in South Uist we would love to stay again.

Michael and Catherine were very welcoming and helpful hosts and the house is cosy, well equipped and comfortable. We managed to pack a lot into 2 days on Barra. The definite highlight was swimming in the calm, crystal clear sea at Eoligarry beach. We also really enjoyed our walk up Heaval, where we were rewarded with a 360 degree panorama of Barra and the surrounding islands, and the food from Fishbox Kitchen! We only wish that we could have stayed a bit longer!

We loved staying at the Larch Shed! Hallin is a beautiful slice of Skye with much to do and is a little off the beaten path from the main tourist areas like Portree. Jane was very hospitable and friendly, and we enjoyed our conversations with her. The Shed itself was exactly as described and very peaceful with an absolutely stunning view of the bay to start and end your day with. Everything was well appointed and we enjoyed the rustic decor. Highly recommend the YurtTea down the road for small breakfast and coffee, as well as nearby Stein Inn for amazing dinner. We also enjoyed Old School Restaurant in Dunvegan for dinner. Would recommend stopping at the co op on Forest rd in Portree for cooking provisions on your way up. We would definitely stay here again and look forward to our return!

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice this accommodation was and how well situated it was for the wedding we were attending. Its a quaint little cabin which had everything we needed and a bigger shower than expected. Everything was spotlessly clean and the provided soaps and shower gels smelled gorgeous. We had issues with the ferry on the way to the island and we notified Sophie who was completely understanding. We were also given all the information we needed prior to arriving and the WiFi was great. I would highly recommend staying in this pod if visiting Eriskay as it's perfect for visiting this lovely island.

We had a great stay in this beautiful traditional cottage. The photos don’t do it justice. The location is central to the whole island so it was very easy to reach both North and South. If you are looking for a peaceful holiday with a slow pace of life, the Joiners is perfect. Everyone is so friendly. We really enjoyed exploring the island and its rugged beauty and stunning beaches. Eating out options are limited and you have to drive however the quality is excellent especially the seafood.
