Το παραδοσιακό αυτό σπίτι των 200 περίπου χρόνων βρίσκεται στο χωριό Πολιανή της Μεσσηνίας σε ύψος 680 μέτρων στην αγκαλιά του Ταϋγέτου. Το χωριό είναι περιτριγυρισμένο απο κατάφυτες βουνοκορφές καθώς απλωνεται μέσα σε έναν εύφορο κάμπο γεμάτο μηλιές,καρυδιές και σιτηρά που τον διασχίζουν δυό ποταμοί. Ιστορικά η Πολιανή έχει καταγεγραμμένους μέχρι και σήμερα πάνω από 45 βυζαντινούς ναούς ενώ σώζεται από τη Βυζαντινή περίοδο ο ναός Κοιμήσεως της Θεοτόκου με αξιόλογες τοιχογραφίες του 12ου αιώνα.

Welcome to Kourkoula House, a little piece of heaven in Monemvasia, Greece. The traditional house is one of the oldest buldings of the greater area of the Castle of Monemvasia. Located just above the first port of the area named "Kourkoula", it has now turned into a very hospitable place. Ήσυχο διαμέρισμα λίγα μέτρα απο το κέντρο της Ολυμπίας και κοντά στον Αρχαιολογικό χώρο σε απόσταση βαδίσματος. Τρία κύρια υπνοδωμάτια με εσωτερικό μπάνιο το κάθε ένα , κοινόχρηστος χώρος με καναπέ κρεβάτι και μπάνιο ξεχωριστό. Μπαλκόνι , βεράντα και αυλή περιμετρικά του διαμερίσματος σε επαφή με τον κήπο. Άνετο παρκάρισμα στο δρόμο μπροστά απο το διαμέρισμα. Κουζίνα πλήρως εξοπλισμένη για παρασκευή γευμάτων.

Traditional Stone Guesthouse

The house was built before 1940 and back then it used to be the house of the teacher of the village. The basement was the storage room for the resin. Only in 1975 me grandpa, Dimitris, was able to buy the house and the basement too, in order to use the entire building as a storage room. Then, in 2019, my family decided to transform the upstairs as an Airbnb room and the basement as a storage room for the wine and the oil.

It is located 6km (less than 10 minutes by car) from Kardamili and 9km (about 15 minutes drive) from Stoupa. The nearest beach is Kalamitsi (about 4km) and is ideal for children.
