This is very spacious accommodation and Jagath was very kind and always helpful. It is a fair way out of town, but there are frequent buses passing by.

The stay in the Gamini’s home was the silver lining of my trip. The house was very beautifully decorated with a good sense of taste (I took some pictures of their home and glad they like them as well). Our room is very clean and has the local flavor of display. The location is a bit hard to find, but Gamini was so kind that he drove himself to show directions for our driver. The Gamini family was so warm to introduce their pretty little garden (we had a chance to taste their fresh vege salad, amazing!) and it turned out to be an awesome mini garden tour. We also had a very good evening sitting at the garden and chatting about family and their experiences. In the next morning, I was lucky to join their activities in the temple where I sent the prepared food to monks. It was so authentic experience that cannot be found in tourists places. We spent a delightful three days in this beautiful home, steeped in Sri Lankan history and tradition. The staff, headed by Pathi cooked us the most delicious meals, including meals where we sourced food from the local market. Pathi went out of his way to make us feel at home and completely pampered us. Not only is StonyHurst a perfect place to relax after the heat of the coast, it is a good springboard for visiting high tea estates, as well as playing golf at the course in Nuwara Eliya. We will cherish our memories from our stay.

Absoutely loved the house, the location was perfect. 2 minute walk to Lake Gregory with great activities to do. Chandrakumar the housekeeper was super helpful and even had dinner prepared after our long journey on check in day. Would highly recommend.

The place is beautiful and green. It has been superbly designed and decorated and we loved our stay there. Rajan the caretaker is wonderful and ensured all our needs were taken care of and cooked amazing meals including an outdoor barbecue. The place was kept very clean despite its size and had several cozy nooks where we could all sit together. It was an overall very well thought out and equally well maintained bungalow. We would highly recommend it as a place to relax when in Newark Eliya.

the place is inappropriate very green area and the hosts are wonderful. it's pretty far from the town and nothing much around. the villa itself is big with 3 bedroom.

The staff were amazing—always attentive, friendly, and responsive to all our requests, including accommodating the needs of our toddler, which we greatly appreciated. A standout feature of our stay was the amazing cocktails! They were expertly crafted and added a special touch to our evenings as we enjoyed the stunning scenery. Additionally, the staff guided us to a beautiful local waterfall, where we had a fantastic time exploring and enjoying nature. It was a memorable highlight of our trip. The only area for improvement is the food. While it was decent, we’d love to see more fresh vegetables included in the menu to enhance the dining experience. Overall, it was a delightful stay, and we’d definitely recommend this villa for anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic retreat with top-notch hospitality, and opportunities to explore local beauty

Our stay at Croft Cottage was nothing short of amazing! The location is ideal—private, peaceful, and offering breathtaking views, yet still providing easy access to many must-visit sites. We loved being able to walk to the nearby Kovil and enjoyed a scenic drive to Horton Plains, where we were lucky enough to spot leopards. A stop at Jagro for fresh strawberries made the journey even sweeter! The house itself is spotless, cozy, and well-equipped with modern amenities, making it perfect for families. Whether you’re looking for a quiet escape or a fun board game night with loved ones, this place has it all. The staff were outstanding—polite, attentive, and always ensuring our comfort. Additionally, the host was incredibly kind, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend Croft Cottage for anyone seeking a relaxing and memorable getaway in Little England. We can definitely see ourselves coming back to Croft Cottage again in the near future!
