Lake house vacation rentals in Elk Lake

We had a wonderful time at Shawnigan Lake, staying in Todd's beautiful cottage! It was perfectly situated right on the lake, with a fantastic dock space perfect for swimming and other activities. We were close to the train trestle, a lovely walking/running trail, a restaurant with a picturesque lake view, and a corner store for quick purchases. Grocery stores were about 15-20 minute drive away. All in all it was an incredible place to vacation for an active family! Thank you so much Todd!

This was a fantastic place to stay. Not only a nice peaceful refuge, but beautiful waterfront and lots of Canadian charm. It was very welcoming. There was a sense of humour with Richard’s inventiveness around the property (eg. the motorized raft with the palm tree, wheeled Muskoka chairs, the Taki tiki hut and much more). The lake and dock were awesome and the water was beautiful and warm for swimming. The home had plenty of space with all the necessary amenities. We could not have chosen a more perfect place for us. Langford is a great community as well. Thank you Richard!!!

The lake front property with lots to do was perfect after a long day of working in the area. Definitely recommend!

We had a weekend on the lake at Scott’s! The place was cozy during the snowy weekend. Beautiful lakefront spot with incredible outdoor area that you can enjoy year round. The hot tub was great to relax in and look over the lake. Would absolutely come back here again!

Jim and Jeannette are such lovely people! We had a great time - the house is beautiful and the lake is peaceful. Started out each day with morning coffee out on the dock. The location was great, just outside the city and and easy drive to just about everywhere, but feels like you are out in the middle of nowhere.

We loved staying here. The house is great. The front porch, the side deck with grill and sun chairs and outdoor dining is great. The dock on the water is fabulous. Any specific questions or issues were addressed immediately. Its a really lovely spot. You can't do better on Shawnigan Lake!

Our stay was exceptional. We would rate this home as the perfect example of what an Air BnB should be. From check in to check out, all the necessities were accommodated. One of our favorite stays! Thank you

When we arrived at the beautiful house, a handwritten note and delicious chocolate cookies from Charlotte were waiting for us — such a warm and thoughtful welcome! The house is spacious, and conveniently located near shops and beautiful hiking trails. We also really appreciated being able to check in a bit earlier than planned. Thank you, Charlotte, for making our stay so pleasant!

The views of the lake are incredible. We enjoyed our stay so much we added an extra night.

Had a great stay at Lindsay’s cottage on the lake, despite mostly crappy weather. We were a groups of 5 friends getting together for a long weekend of gravel cycling. Convenient access to the Cowichan Valley Rail Trail and other back roads nearby. Accommodation worked well for us with space in the basement to keep our bikes dry. Cooked most of our dinners in the well supplied kitchen. Nice TV with cable allowed us to watch the NHL playoffs in the evenings. Didn’t get to take advantage of the lakefront amenities due to the weather. Would definitely do this again. Thanks Lindsay!

Absolutely fantastic stay! Gerry was super helpful and incredibly responsive throughout our visit. The place was spotless and exactly as described. He even went above and beyond to help us with our bikes before our race, which made a huge difference. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again — highly recommend!

Clean, modern and private suite.

Excellent stay at Elk Lake! We had an excellent stay at Kyle's place by Elk lake. It was very roomy and had all the amenities listed. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed to prepare meals. The rooms very very big and had plenty of floor and closet space. The outside has a nice deck and is private. It is easy walking access to both the 10km Elk Lake loop (excellent for running) and the Bear Hill hike. We were at a sporting event at the Commonwealth centre and found that because we were outside of downtown, we could be at the centre, the beach, or a grocery store within a 7 min drive. We had 5 adults but could easily fit 8. We messaged Kyle a few times and he was always quick to respond. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Kyle!

Kenny & Lola’s Airbnb was really beautiful and situated in a very safe & beautiful neighbourhood. The nearby views and beach were spectacular. The Airbnb is clean and new. The owners were very generous to share their drive way parking when we couldn’t find the street parking in-front of the Airbnb. Would definitely recommend others and also looking forward to stay at their Airbnb in near future.

This was a fantastic location. The view from the deck over the bay was lovely. Activity in the little local dock was fun to watch. Able to take short walks on the shoreline. Quiet, pristine accommodations. Would absolutely come again.!!!!

I'm a repeat visitor to this house. It is a perfect spot to get away for a few days or more. Nothing like those amazing sunsets and relaxing on your own private dock on the lake!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Shawnigan Lake. Leia's place was super comfortable and spacious - with lots of functional space both inside and out. The restaurant next door was fabulous and great to be such a close walk. No noise at all carried over to our place. Lots to explore in the area.
