We had a lovely stay at this sweet little apartment. It was right on the prom, and within a couple of minutes' walk of a Co-op. The bus stop serving Edinburgh was also just up the road; we enjoyed a trip to Inveresk Lodge Gardens (a little gem) on the bus. The apartment was really well-equipped, and felt like a real home-from-home, including buckets and spades in the cupboard which our daughter loved. The beach was covered in beautiful shells- gorgeous! Inside, the apartment felt spacious with lots of storage, a nice hot shower, a big comfy sofa, and really cosy, comfy beds. We would love to return here and really enjoyed our stay- thank you!

Amazing amazing place to stay, we absolutely loved it! The beach is so wonderful to walk on and swim in, and Alex and Dan’s place was so welcoming and cozy! And Alex and Dan are very kind and responsive!

absolutely perfect place for me and my dog, would suit a couple and a family with young kids. a very short walk to the beach, pub and restaurant. cottage is beautiful, comfortable and spotlessly clean with all the comforts of home. loved it will definitely be back

This is our second stay at Morning Star and we are hoping to be back! We love it. The view is amazing and the cottage has everything you need. There’s so much to do in the area. We used the sauna down at the pool and swam everyday which was incredible. We enjoyed fish and chips from Anstruther but also ventured on the bus to the Kinneuchar Inn which was stunning. We walked the coastal path to Crail tearooms and actually caught some sun on St Andrew’s beach! One of our favourite things though was to hang out at the cottage staring out to sea! Maya and Cameron are brilliant at communicating and look after your every need. We highly recommended a stay at this haven by the sea!

Ideally placed next to beach on quiet street the cottage was ideal. Beds were comfy and cottage very clean.

We stayed in Donald’s beautiful cottage for 5 nights. The apartment is very well equipped, clean and spacious. Beautiful location overlooking the sea, nice pub across the road, easy access to Edinburgh city centre by bus. No problem with parking. 5 star experience overall. Would definitely stay again!

Thanks to Deyan, we had a smooth check in. The cabin would have been impossible to find without Deyan's clear instructions. The place was squeaky clean and everyone loved it. We did wish we could cut out some plans from our holiday to stay there for a few more days. Absolutely worth the money

Stay at David’s place was great! The area was very close by to the beach. Close to Edinburgh as well so was able to do day trips there. There is plenty to do in the resort as well. The rooms were slightly smaller than expected but didn’t affect us too much.

Fantastic caravan with everything you need for a great holiday. Even had a welcome gift and a few additions to keep the little ones entertained. Caravan feels brand new and has all amenities you could need. Right on the seafront and was perfect Edinburgh marathon weekend as the marathon runs past the front of the park twice. Would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Mary’s cosy holiday caravan! From the moment we arrived, it truly felt like a home away from home. The caravan was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. A special thank you to Mary for being such an attentive and thoughtful host—especially for quickly refilling the gas cylinders when needed. It made such a difference and showed how much she genuinely cares about her guests’ comfort. Mary, you’re the best host we’ve ever had 😀, and we’d absolutely love to visit again. Highly recommended! My son and I were visiting our family in Crail, so didn't really stay much in the house. The shower was brilliant. The beds were comfortable and the views from the bedrooms were great. We were forunate with the weather so could sit outside and take in the view while having breakfast (note: one of the 4 outside chairs felt very rickety- but not a problem as only 2 of us... and there is a bench for extra seating). The kitchen is small, but seemed fully kitted out. We didn't do any cooking, so can't comment on those facilities (we only found 3 chairs for the dining table. Not that we used it, nor would it have been an issue for the 2 of us). Fiona is an excellent host. The welcome gifts she left us were gratefully received. We would stay again.

We had a lovely stay at the studio hosted by Patricia. Everything we needed was provided & it was clean & warm. The location is so peaceful & beautiful , we will definitely be coming back to stay again.

This place was even nicer than the photos! Nicola left a thoughtful guide book to the space, as well as a list of recommendations for coffee, food, etc. often those guides are really out of date but this felt really thoughtful and current! The home feels like an art gallery, with historic details and gorgeous design elements. I would recommend it to any kind of traveller! Located right in the Main Street and close to the 43 bus into Edinburgh. A perfect stay!

We enjoy staying at this property because the view outside the window is so peaceful and beautiful. We love eating breakfast at the window enjoying the spectacular view especially the sunrises. The location is perfect. We enjoy North Berwick very much because there are lots of activities. We like the golf, walks on the beach, hiking The Law, great restaurants and shops plus the convenient train ride into Edinburgh. The property provides everything you would ever need and the grocery stores are close by. It’s a home away from home. You won’t be disappointed. Karen C Merrimack, New Hampshire USA

We had a lovely long weekend in St Monans: the village is in a beautiful part of the world and the house is in the perfect spot overlooking the harbour. I think a place feels luxurious when the host is generous and James certainly doesn't stint on anything. Lots of towels, lots of crockery and cutlery and the house was warm and welcoming. James responded promptly to our messages. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautifully decorated and super clean place, well equipped with everything we needed for a few days but equally would have been great for a longer stay. We had a slight issue getting in as there was no phone signal so I had to go back to the town centre to get signal to check the lockbox code, so I’d advise future guests to save it offline somewhere! We’d definitely stay here if in the area again.

Staying in Portobello while visiting Edinburgh for the marathon was wonderful - just a quick 30 minute bus ride to city center and so peaceful each night. The guest house had everything we needed and was very clean. The hosts were so personable and lovely. Would absolutely stay again!

Lovely clean, well furnished cottage - great garden with choice of sunny relaxation areas and great view from top decking and sunhouse. Catherine responded quickly to a couple of questions we had.
