Milargos et son mari nous ont accueillis avec une infinie gentillesse. La chambre (très grande) et la salle de bain sont très, très propres. Elle se trouve dans un magnifique jardin fleuri. Le souper que Milargos a préparé pour nous (ropa vieja délicieuse 😋) et le petit déjeuner (délicieux aussi) ont été pris dans le jardin, à couvert. Nous recommandons chaleureusement cette famille et cet endroit.

Nous avons passé un super séjour dans cette grande maison familiale avec clim ! Au calme, entourée de verdure et d'arbres fruitiers, la maison a une belle terrasse couverte avec chaises à bascules pour les soirées au calme pour déguster un verre de rhum ;) et surtout une énorme piscine et son coin barbecue qui donnent envie de passer plus de temps sur place pour bien en profiter ! On a aimé aussi le petit déjeuner servi par Anays et les recommandations du chauffeur et guide Yuri, merci à eux. Situé à 10 min en voiture de l'aéroport et du centre ville, c'est un bon compris pour un séjour en famille au vert et dépaysant dans de bonnes conditions.

As usual, the house is in immaculate condition as usual, as described in the ad and for what you’re getting for the price unbeatable and it’s not my first time, I’ve stayed there, and I will be definitely renting in the future again I would like to say thank you to Marily and her husband Paul. We really enjoyed staying at Casa Yumi! It was one of our favorite places in all of Cuba. Pictures can not convey the loveliness of the room, which was so well constructed, with hand crafted wooden cabinets and furniture and windows all around to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. It had a comfortable bed, a well woking air conditioner and a really nice shower, everything needed for a comfortable stay. The food was delicious as well. Yusnelys was a wonderful cook. She made the best food of our whole three week trip. We were impressed with the freshness of the ingredients and the care put in to every meal. One night we even had delicious pork which Hector had smoked himself. The whole family are warm and generous people. Do yourself a favor and stay with them. We cannot wait to return!

Really wonderful to stay here, a beautiful view and immersed in nature. Be warned that the fans won’t work if the power goes out, but there was a great breeze through the cottage at night, so that wasn’t an issue. Wanda was an amazing host,really appreciated how communicative she was.

Un service de sécurité 24/7 et une personne de présente au logement pour nous en cas de besoin pour la cuisine et les petits déjeuner. This was a lovely place to stay! It is beautifully situated and easy to get to the village centre on foot. Mariano was a great communicator and was very helpful, flexible and friendly. He organised a fantastic birdwatching tour with a local artist and his wife cooked us lovely breakfasts and arranged reservations for us at a great vegetarian place in the village (El Romero). The room and bathroom are spacious and the front balcony provides excellent views of the mountains. The natural swimming pools are nearby too. We’d recommend here for Las Terrazas!

The house was beautiful with plenty of property to explore and feel inside of nature. Jenny is a yoga instructor and we even had a private yoga session in the morning, while they served us coffee and tea from their garden. They provided us with dinner one night, when we requested it. They have a neighbor who has a horse that brought us in carriage to eat dinner. The house is decorated with all hand-made art from family and friends. We were very close to the Salto Cascada de Arcoiris and el Avioncito for hiking and being in the waterfalls. Perfect for if you want to get into nature and disconnect!

Super casa dans un jardin botanique magnifique, espace de repas top sur une petite pergola, acceuil très gentil et amical, Maybe, la femme de Jorge parle bien anglais. Super petit-déjeuner et repas du soir. Ils nous ont même dépanner de leurs propres médicaments (alors que très rares à Cuba !) pour une mauvaise toux. Nous recommandons absolument !!

Die Entscheidung in Soroa halt zu machen, war eine wertvolle Berreicherung. Virginia hat mich herzlich aufgenommen und wir konnten uns gut austauschen. Sie wohnt alleine, ihre liebe Schwester neben an - Frauenpower pur :-) Ihr Garten wurde leider vom Zyklon ziemlich verwüstet. Sie würde sich bestimmt über helfende Hände freuen, freiwillige 'Gärtner' sind Willkommen! Frühstück und Abendessen kann ich sehr empfehlen, sogar ein paar Getränke kann man bei Ihr erwerben. Soroa ist ein einfaches Dorf, an sanft geschwungenen Bergrücken gelegen. Zum runterkommen perfekt und um Kuba authentisch kennenzulernen. Es lädt zu Spaziergängen ein. Der Wasserfall ist ein Highlight! Ein Ausritt oder mit dem Fahrrad sowie ein Besuch nach Las Terazzas, wenn möglich sind zu Empfehlen. Vielen Dank für den angenehmen Aufenthalt und die Pflanzenkunde liebe Virgina, alles Gute weiterhin!

Séjour incroyable chez Daymara, le logement de base n'était finalement pas disponible mais nous avons pu séjourner dans une petite dépendance, juste a coté, chez les parents de Daymara. Toute la famille est plus qu'accueillante, le village est magnifique et quelques activités sont faisables sans voiture : el salto et el mirador. Il est également possible de profiter de la piscine de l'hôtel Soroa gratuitement, très agréable après la chaude marche pour El Mirador. Enfin que serait cette casa particulare sans l'incroyable cuisine de la maman de Daymara, certes le classique riz-poulet-fruits est toujours présent mais cuisiné cette fois ci de la meilleure des façons. Nous recommandons fortement cette hôte !

We actually did not get to meet Luis but we were absolutely delighted by Dayessi. The national blackout was several days underway and so retrieving directions from phones was impossible; Dayessi went the distance to make sure we found the property in the dark and welcomed us as though we were her long-lost family. She ran a generator to cool our rooms and served us enough food for dinner to last several meals. She personally drove to the airport 4 times to connect our family members to their flights back to different parts of the U.S. and when there was a pause between trips she invited us to join her to a farmer's market where we experienced how locals grocery shop. On the way to and from the airport, she was stopped by various people who waved or even leaned in the window to hug her. I observed that Dayessi has a knack for "collecting" people and animals in need. We were privileged to be among those for whom her heart makes room. She made us feel safe during the crisis.

Wunderschöner großer Garten, Schaukelstühle auf sehr gemütlicher Veranda. Wahnsinnig sauber und schön eingerichtet, riesige Portionen sehr gutes und äußerst empfehlenswertes Essen. Aber vor allem unglaublich freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Ganz tolle Menschen!!! Sehr empfehlenswert für Familien mit Kindern!

Aliuskas place is a bit of heaven on earth. Soroa is a less touristy place so in my opinion, worth visiting. I engaged the services of a local guide Alex Diaz who taught me about the birds, plants, history of the region. Aliuska was able to offer me both breakfast and dinner, the dinner was the best food I ate in Cuba. Simple, many vegetables, perfect. Their casa is next to a one room school for grades k-5. So, if you are inclined I would ask her if she needs anything for the children. I brought powdered milk for an activity she was doing to make hot chocolate for them. The power is not on 100% so bring a phone charger and flashlight. Also, mosquito repellant. I would 1000% recommend Aliuska’s casa as a way to experience the beauty of Cuba. And I am sure that she can curate any type of experience you are looking for.

We had a magical stay in Soroa and felt so lucky to be staying in such a magical location. We were keen to birdwatch and were thrilled to see hummingbirds, woodpeckers, vultures and a trogan from the casa's own gardens! The room was sparklingly clean and our host the most incredible chef. Definitely request meals there as they are some of the best you'll eat in Cuba. Also, if you wish to take a guided hike, request Juan- he can imitate the calls of many endemic bird species and had amazing knowledge of all the flora and fauna.

Many thanks tot the family of Dona Estrella! We felt very welcome and they took very good care of us. The casa is also a farm were they grow their crops and keep different kind of animals. The food (we had breakfast and dinner) was very good and lavish and everything was as expected. Las Terrazas itself is quite a long walk (4 km) so we did that only once (besides the lovely hike we did in La Terrazzas). Ask voor Haziel (their neighbor and member of the family) to take you there if you don't want to walk. He speaks English and takes you there or picks you up for a friendly price. If you like animals please take their lovely and very friendly dog Nina for a walk, she will enjoy that extremely. (The family is very busy and they can't always find the time).
