Enjoy your stay in this simple flat in an old house between Hieflau at the Enns river and Eisenerz, the medieval mining town for iron. Listen to the rushing Alpine river Erzbach; climb some peaks in the surrounding Alps or swim in the lake Leopoldsteinersee in a 10km bike ride on a cycle path. Update June 2025: works started to build a water power station on the river below the house. As a result there might be noise between 6:30am and 4pm on weekdays while the river bank is not accessible.

After an active day in nature, the roof terrace offers the ideal place to relax.

It can be expanded to a bed for up to 2 people. Bed linen is included in the price. The vaulted bathroom is equipped with a shower, a wash basin, a toilet, a hair dryer and towels. The parlor which is made from solid wood, is perfect for spending time together.

Spend an unforgettable time in the secluded, wild and romantic forest hut KOSAK, located at about 1,300 m above sea level, just a short drive via a private forest road from Trofaiach. In the cozy farmhouse parlor, a table stove awaits you, providing cozy warmth. A wooden staircase leads to the upper floor with 4 futon beds. 👉 Our Kosak forest hut has been expanded: Since May 2025 with shower & toilet!

The Jörgenbauerhütte

The Jörgenbauerhütte is located at 1,400 meters on the Gammeringalm on the border of Upper Austria to Styria. In summer, the alpine cattle graze in the meadows around the hut. Since the hut can only be reached via a private forest road, you can only hear the bells of the cows grazing on the alpine pasture. In autumn you can sometimes hear the deer roaring - nothing else.
