Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Edgewater, Chicago

An absolutely amazing stay with incredible hosts! It literally felt like a true home away from home...tastefully decorated, modern, with everything provided to make my stay comfortable. My hosts were super responsive and friendly---they are definitely at the top of my list for my future stays in Chicago!

The stay was amazing. The only issue was finding parking especially at night was really tuff to find a stop.

Very comfy apartment in a great neighborhood. We were in town for a baseball game and it’s a terrific place for that, just about a 20-minute walk to Wrigley Field. The only thing to be concerned about is the stairs: there are two flights to get into the apartment and they’re fairly steep and small, so if you have mobility issues that would be a concern. I don’t and had no problem. Karen is a lovely host and was very helpful when I was getting into the place and unloading my stuff from my car. There are tons of restaurants and coffee shops in the area, so it’s a great place to explore and hang out.

Even more spacious than in the photos! Well-kept place, with a fully stocked kitchen, projector, BOSE speaker, and great backyard. Double shower in the master bedroom, and strong water pressure. Entry is easy with a code. Finally, the host is VERY accommodating, flexible, and responsive. Recommended!

Great clean place

O espaço da Janice é extremamente aconchegante. A cozinha é super equipada (geladeira, fogao, cafeteira, panelas e demais utensílios... alem de manteiga e temperos básicos). O quarto é lindo e a cama super confortável. O banheiro estava limpo e havia itens de higiene de ótima qualidade, além de um excelente secador de cabelo. A televisão era grande e a sala super confortável. Amamos tudo. Quando voltar à Chicago, será a minha escolha!!

This was my second stay at this location, and our family had the BEST time! We stayed for five days. The house is very immaculate; not a trace of dirt or dust anywhere. Like last time, we were left with some yummy snacks and treats upon arrival. Kris & Daniel also went above and beyond when we wanted to go to the beach - they personally came right over and got some beach chairs, towels, and an umbrella from the basement for us. The house is very comfortable with high-tech smart devices and we were nice and cool despite the heat (and nice and warm when it got chilly later in our visit). Our last day, I accidentally pulled down a curtain rod when opening the drapes, and Kris & Daniel could not have been more gracious about it. Great house and great hosts! Thank you!

This is our second stay at this location and we hope to return again in the future. It is a very well-maintained place in a safe location. Also, we love how clean it is!

Dean was the best host my girlfriend and I have had! He is proactive, friendly, great with communication, and provides everything you need for a great stay. Not only this, but the place was extremely comforting and beautiful! We had an amazing stay and would love to stay here again! Not to mention this place is an amazing price for how nice the stay was! Very sweet and charming apartment on an absolutely gorgeous block in Chicago. Super quiet neighborhood but still close to lots of great spots. Had a great stay with my dog for a few nights. Would definitely stay again!

This was my first AirBnB booking ever, and it was nothing short of amazing! Easy instructions, very accommodating hosts, and very nice place to stay. It felt like we were right out of a 90's cabin, loved it! Having a Louis Armstrong record was a golden touch. I highly recommend the place and the experience.

Our family of 4 stayed here over spring break and we absolutely loved it! The location was great and the house came with SO many kitchen appliances, towels, storage space, etc… Kory was extremely responsive and so kind. We had a great time 🤗

great place to stay. my family and another had a great weekend in Chicago. the place is lovely and had plenty of space for us and served as an ideal home base to visit friends in North Chicago and go out and explore the city.

Loved the place! We had a few kids with us and were concerned on space. With the bed pulled out and made from the sofa (by the owners) we had plenty of space still. They provided a bathtub for the shower for the little ones, kids utensils and plates, pack and play and sound machines. It got a little chilly but the space heater they had worked just fine for the entire apartment! Only minor complaint was the initial smell when walking in, I know it’s common in older places around Chicago (the apartment itself was extremely clean and tidy) and once we were there for 5 mins we got used to it. The neighborhood itself was great with free street parking! Got lucky and was able to get a spot close by each time we left/came back. Overall a great experience and we would stay here again.

At first I couldn’t believe so many 5 star reviews—and now I know why. Because you can’t give a 6. We were between business trips and have a child who lives Chicago so we thought we’d make a weekend of it rather than flying home. Lovely, homey, classy, unique, comfortable, warm and very cool all in one place. You need only to roll out of the door to find great food, great people and great fun. Thank you for opening your home to us.

Stop scrolling, this is the perfect place!!!! Sarah’s accurately described property will not disappoint. What comfy beds, furniture and plentiful kitchen supplies. Mass transit is right nearby but we chose to drive 20-ish mins each day into the city for touring. We had awesome adventures knowing we had a safe and comfy home to stay each night. The renovated classic Chicago greystone is spectacular. This is an amazing update of an architectural gem. The space has all modern amenities but the character and charm are thoroughly maintained. The spaces are spotless. Rogers Park is a wonderful lakeside neighborhood and is a melting pot of ethnicities and cultures. There are great restaurants within walking distance as well as close by in Evanston, Andersonville, etc. The Metra and the El are an easy walk. Lillian was so accommodating and proactive. We loved this stay and will be back.

Alex’s place is perfect for a short stay in a very walkable area of Chicago, with plenty of restaurants and bars to walk to near by! A cozy bed awaits you at the end of the day, and on-site parking is an added bonus!

Great location, and easy access to all main streets. The neighborhood is quiet, and very safe. The people in the neighborhood were very welcoming. The condo was nice, very spacious and a great value for the cost.

The time spent here was wonderful. This place has everything you need to feel at home away from home. Everything was clean and comfortable. The area was also really nice with tons of food and drinks within walking distance. The blue line is a short walk away and the busses run on the corner. I would definitely stay here again when coming back to Chicago.

Planned a weekend trip with our daughters and their partners to Chicago. Loved this location being outside of the city but very conveniently located to public transit. The house itself was beautiful and comfortable, with plenty of room for 6 adults. A perk was the driveway parking space for our car. Would definitely recommend to others and stay again when visiting Chicago!

We loved staying here! India was extremely responsive and helpful in preparing for our stay, and even accommodated an unexpected early arrival. This was a cozy place for our family to land after fun days exploring Chicago. India even pointed out some great parks (and walked us there!). The location is fantastic with close access to Foster Beach and the restaurants and shops in Andersonville. We'd definitely stay there again. Thanks, India!
