Lovely b&b, very comfortable, clean room with everything you need. I felt it was even better than the description. The en suite was spotless, the bed comfortable and there was a good sized tv as well as separate sitting room with a microwave, fridge and tv if required. Maria was a friendly and welcoming host and made a delicious breakfast with plenty of choice.

Lovely stay in a very quiet spot. The room was warm and comfortable with everything I needed. Gina was a very friendly and helpful host.

A lovely relaxing break away. The rooms were very spacious and had everything we needed. The double bath was a real treat and just perfect after a day walking along the cliffs. Jane was extremely friendly and welcoming but also left us to our own devices. I will definitely recommend to others.

Delightful stay, room was cosy and super clean. Warm and comfortable too - the place felt very homely. Breakfast was delicious and generous, and we enjoyed the privacy of the dining area (with a welcome addition in Norman). Gina was very friendly and helpful throughout - would definitely stay again!

Had such a wonderful stay, and I will definitely be back next time I’m in the area. Maria is very friendly and takes care of all of her guests in a friendly manner. Btw, She also makes an incredible omelette! The place is quiet and neat and the surroundings are peaceful; and just a walk from the local dinner/bar and the yoga studio Wellnest and a 5 min drive to cute Howden. Thanks again :)

My room was very comfortable and very quiet. It is located above a busy pub in central York. When I realise this I was a bit worried that it would be noisy, but the opposite was true it was extremely quiet. There was no transfer of noise from the bar downstairs, and it has its own separate entrance so it’s not really apparent that it’s associated with the pub. I had a good stay and I would definitely recommend. And I think it’s very good value.

Very easy to find. Could park right outside the front door. Katrina was very friend]y, welcoming but not intrusive - and she made a very tasty cheese omelette! The room was quite large. The bed was massive. Nice big bathroom. An easy 1 mile walk straight to the amazingly beautiful North Landing. Recommended. Oh, and it's even cheaper for solo travellers.

We had a lovely 1 night stay at Sawcliffe! We started off our trip by visiting the doggy spa with our dog and every detail was thought about. We loved the spa as it’s not something you can ever do with your dog, loved the thought! Emily was so helpful and provided us with help if we asked and fab recommendations. The house and grounds are beautiful and we were lucky enough to see the Ponies. The bed was so comfy, we slept like babies. 1000% would recommend and would love to come back. We had the most perfect stay at The Larch Room. Beautifully located in a pristine hamlet with the most amazing host. We felt right at home from the minute we arrived. Hannah was always responsive and gave us the warmest of welcomes, with her wonderful family. I cannot recommend Hannah’s scrambled eggs on toast enough 🥰 so far as to say it would be worth the drive from the Lake District just to have it again! There has clearly been love, care and attention put into the The Larch Room and if ever in the area again we would not hesitate to book straight away and advise you to stop looking and just book it too 😌. Thank you again.

We had a fabulous stay- lovely room with a king-size bed, ensuite and refreshments and the best breakfast we had on our trip away. We were cycling the coast to coast and were also able to store our bikes. Overall, a great stay!

Silke and Kevin were very friendly and happy/ eager to help, and made our Golden Retriever Alfie feel very welcome as well. Beautiful, peaceful view sitting on the settee in the bedroom. Warm and comfortable, lovely bath.

Malcolm is a very kind and friendly host. He goes the extra mile to make guests feel welcome. Very helpful in all aspects. Comfortable room with good storage, a fridge, tea and coffee making and nice bathroom, freshly cooked breakfast. Convenient parking space. Would recommend this Airbnb.

Amazing mattress I didn't want to get up and go work. Amazing host. Not everyday youve got Sky Tv in an Airbnb. Amazing stay as a football fan I was able to watch my football games. Clean room clean bathroom clean kitchen. Special cutleries for the guest. Always available to help in anyway. If im in York again id definitely would love to stay over.
