I arrived feeling exhausted after a long drive from the USA. But, what a great place to land in Nova Scotia! I slept like a baby in a very comfy bed. The surroundings are beautiful--tucked amidst trees and overlooking the waters of La Have river- I found a little piece of paradise here. The cottage itself is charming. A well stocked kitchen including treats from the La Have bakery. Can't resist that! Joe is such a friendly and kind host. I appreciated that he was always quick to respond to any questions. He can tell you about all the sights and restaurants in the area. My favorite was Cresent Beach about a 15 minute drive--what a place to walk your dog and experience the ocean. I highly recommend staying here!

Lee Ann’s place is wonderful. So much attention has gone into it. It’s very peaceful and close to Mahone bay and Lunenburgh.They even left the Christmas tree up for me. Beautiful. Plus what can I say about the puppas. Two beautiful dogs. As I am a dog lover it’s been heaven I’m in luv with Max . Leeann calls him her Gentle Giant and so he is. Perfick. Thank you Lee Ann I shall pass the word and hope to be back soon.

This was my second time staying at Hookd’s house, and it was just as lovely as the first. The peaceful surroundings and beautiful view over the water make it such a special place to unwind. The house has everything you need to feel right at home, and the hosts are genuinely warm and welcoming. I had a wonderful week and can’t wait for the next chance to come back. Highly recommend!
