Monthly Rentals in East Johnson

My family stayed at The Sugar House for a skiing getaway to Stowe Mountain Resort. Even though the weather didn't cooperate for the best skiing, Walter's place was a highlight! The home was charming, unique, and downright fun. Both bedrooms had their own flair; the kitchen was spacious and well-outfitted; and the main living space with its cathedral ceiling and fireplace was a cozy and inviting place for us to gather. The location was idyllic, tucked away in the woods off a private, quiet road— and, it was convenient to all the things we wanted to do! We'd love to come back to The Sugar House, and recommend it to anyone looking for a great stay in the Stowe area.

Thoroughly enjoyed my time at Angela & Mark's home. The apartment was everything as presented, and I believe as another reviewer noted the pictures do not do it justice. Walked in and felt immediately at home. The house was clean and comfortable and in my case perfect for a longer term stay. Mark and Angela were welcoming hosts. The purpose of my trip was to ski VT resorts in the area. The location is excellent for this.

Green Mountain Getaway is a cute little private space on a lovely property. Perfect for a weekend of skiing at local resorts which are less than 30 minutes away. Lauren was extremely responsive and offered lots of recommendations. Ample hot water for the showers (when you’ve stayed at a place that doesn’t, you know how much this matters) and the place also heated easily with an in-unit heater. One small complaint is just how icy the walkway leading up to the entry-stairs was, I fully understand it is winter, but we arrived at night and that was a little spooky. Maybe this is something the host can keep an eye on for next time, but we’ll definitely be keeping this rental in mind for our next ski trip!

We love the little town of Hyde Park and the ease of travel to Smuggs, Stowe and other neighboring towns, The view from her place is surrounded by mountains which you can see in the distance. We loved the comfort, charm, style and coziness. The bed and couch were very comfortable. We were able to cook meals, relax, and play chess. The water pressure was excellent. Nice to have a washer and dryer. Tessa was friendly, responsive, and delightful to meet. We look forward to a return visit!
