Our high-end duplexapartment is very accessibly located in between the 'Kouter' (rectangle square where the Flemish Opera is) and the medieval center (St-Bavo-Cathedral, Graslei, Korenmarkt, Gravensteen to name a few highlights). Brand new, comfortable and classy, with a library-staircase which is not only an eyecatcher. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Sunny terrace! We called our gem "LaCasitaBelMundo”, just adding the dot Gent, to get the full picture.

From our centrally located apartment, the cozy and lively Ghent is within easy reach. The location right next to Gent-Sint-Pieters Station means that you have connections by train, tram, bus and taxi, right at the door (1 min). The cozy and safe neighborhood offers a 7/7 supermarket, shops, bars, restaurants, night shop (all 1 min away) and a green city park with playground in the immediate vicinity. The street is low-traffic and therefore remarkably quiet. The apartment offers every comfort.

Burgstraat 17 is an old Patrician house constructed in 1515. Later the house was split in 2 houses and became neglected for many years. In 2019 we started the renovation, with as only purpose, to keep the soul and respect the history and grandeur of the original house. Its exceptional history, unique architecture and central position made it worth doing so. Tears, joy and a lot of work resulted in the place where you are right now. Our house is the architect's old home in the village of Haasdonk. On the ground floor, we set up our Airbnb, where the drawing tables used to be. Haasdonk is another green lung, located between Ghent and Antwerp. It is the ideal base to soak up culture, art or history in either city. Or visit Hof ter Saxony, our beautiful park forest, the Haasdonk fortress or hike and mountain bike on one of the many trails in the forests of Haasdonk.
