This cottage was perfect for us - 2 couples with small children. Louise gave us loads of information before we arrived, and her husband greeted us shortly after we arrived. It was such an easy stay with small children, we had everything we needed, and the stair gate made life so easy! There were lots of lovely touches like providing snacks, coffee and jams. And Louise even provided some glasses for the solar eclipse!! The surroundings are really peaceful and the kids loved the 2 Shetland ponies in the field opposite. There are lots of options for walks from the cottage, or a short drive away. The Black Lion pub did a great roast dinner. I found there was so much thought put into the stay and Louise was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

Our short stay at Fox Cottage was amazing. The property is beautiful, spotless and comfortable. The views are spectacular! Andrew was a great host, very responsive and helpful and we really appreciated the very kind welcome hamper! Loads to do and see and there were even toys for our young son to play with! We loved it so much we’ve booked for next year!

Had a great stay at The Alders there were 6 of us . Had space for both cars… soo close to Alton Towers- we stayed for our daughters 16th Birthday… we grabbed a take out in Cheadle and went to the BullsHead inn a couple of minutes walk from the accommodation- would definitely recommend a stay here

My husband and I had a fantastic stay at Mary's place! The cottage is just as described and in a beautiful and peaceful location. All of the instructions Mary provided were easy to follow, and while we didn't meet in person, Mary was communicative and available if needs be. We hope to return again soon!

A beautiful cottage, with a charming layout, making the most of the fantastic views. We could have sat watching the views for hours and were only sorry we didn't have more time to enjoy the terrace! It was well appointed and felt very homely. We loved how convenient it was for walking into Matlock Bath (only 5 minutes) with its fish and chip shops, ice cream parlours, amusements and lovely riverside walk and 2 play parks. What a great location for us as a family and it was very handy to be able to leave the car at the house and walk to the cable cars for the Heights of Abraham. We appreciated the milk and tin of chocolate biscuits. One tip for anyone who visits is to park at the top of the house, and not take the car around to the front of the house to save having to reverse up the steep hill as the road at the bottom has now been cordoned off. Thank you for sharing your property. We really enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful place, was the perfect escape from the city for the weekend. Pip explained everything accurately and thoroughly and provided us with some logs for the fire which was great fun. The hut was beautiful and had everything we needed. The bath outside was perfect for a cold evening. Thanks Pip we had a great time!

What a lovely little cottage, very clean and tidy and well stocked with everything you need in a home away from home. Little touches like the forget me not box and honesty box with holiday essentials should you forget anything (which we did!) was welcomed. Check in and out couldn’t have been easier and the shortbread biacuits and bottle of fizz was a nice touch Beautiful walks literally on the doorstep and easy access to the Tissington trail make this cottage a great place to stay in the Peaks.

Overall it was fantastic and would recommend staying here for the immediate surroundings. We had fantastic weather for April so we could sit out on the patio and enjoy the view and the kids enjoyed the garden which was big enough to play football and rounders in. The only nitpick we had were the towels provided were very hard and scratchy and after using a lovely bath or shower the towels were not nice to use. So maybe bring your own in case they are not replaced soon. Although this did not affect us as the weather was great. If it did rain a lot and you were stuck in the downstairs lounge or dining area has no view of the lovely lake you can see from outside. There are views from upstairs main bedroom windows though.

Totally faultless. Everything you need and more. Every extra touch provided - including very generous welcome hamper and Easter tasteful decorations. Everything for a pet, or a picnic, staying in or going out. Modern technology including iMac, WiFi and sky. Nothing missing from the kitchen for any cook. Bedrooms and bathrooms (linen, towels, robes, toiletries) had the feel of a five star hotel. Charming hosts. I could go on. I had high expectations as is rated 10, but we were all astounded at how incredibly tasteful and well equipped it was, and to a high decorative standard. Thank you.

Decorated beautifully throughout with cosy log burner for colder evenings! Barbara met us at the property and was very welcoming and provided some great info on local walks, pubs and also provided some tasty flapjacks! Would book again without hesitation, everything was perfect! Thank you Barbara and Ray!

What an absolute gem!! The location of the lodge is fantastic, beautifully peaceful countryside with only the birds and local farm animals in sight and earshot. The photos really do not do it justice, the feel inside is super cosy and well equipped. Outside is on another level - the views over the fields, private hot tub and sauna as well as various different seating areas make it stand out. We had planned to walk to the local pub but we were having such a relaxing time we decided not to leave at all! We had asked for the hot tub to be warmed for when we got there, the only thing I will say is bring your fire making abilities with you as you'll need them! Michelle was a great host, she was very responsive both prior to the stay and during, and met us there to let us in, nothing was too much trouble. The return trip is already in discussions!

Silvie's Cottage is a true delight! Welcoming, extremely well equipped, spotlessly clean and feels like a home from home with lots of extra touches. Off road parking in a lovely residential street which is only a short stroll into Church Stretton and a choice of walks straight from the door with no need to use a car. The garden is lovely and adds to the overall atmosphere of a warm welcoming cottage. We loved our few days stay, would highly recommend and plan to return again....hopefully soon! Our stay in the Damson Pod with Sarah and family was perfect. The pod itself was lovely, beautifully clean and had all the amenities we needed. The view from the full glass front was spectacular and could be enjoyed while sitting in bed or on the outside seating areas. The land surrounding the pods was beautifully maintained and had space for sitting, BBQ's and a lovely dedicated space for the children to play with the provided toys. One evening we met Sarah in the adjoining field and had the opportunity to feed the Alpacas. We were kept well informed of the arrangements and details for arrival. We very much enjoyed our stay and have already recommended it to friends.

We’ve just got back from a lovely few days away. The area the pod was in was very clean & we had a lovely walk around the marina. The pod had everything we needed for our short stay and we especially loved the hot tub! Overall we would recommend this trip and would definitely be back again soon! We rented this Airbnb for a works meeting and it couldnt have worked out any better. The accommodation was clean and beds really comfy, the outside space was great so we did most of the meeting in the late afternoon and evening sat in the sunshine in the garden. We couldnt fault the cleanliness of the kitchen or bathrooms and the showers were really powerful, what was needed to wake us all up in the morning to carry on our meeting. We had milk and juice in the fridge when we arrived and tea and coffee was provided along with a little treat that was a lovely added touch. Joy (the host) responded to all requests for information and the information regarding access to the house etc was provided in time with easy to follow instructions. We would just like to say a BIG thankyou to Joy.

Wonderfully peaceful surroundings and a great base to explore the local area for a few days. The cabin was just as described and our two boys loved waking up and just watching the animals (as did our dog). Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing (hot tub was again a big hit with the kids) break while there are also beautiful walks and things to do close by.
