The Stargazer is a perfect staycation/vacation cottage, welcoming guests to stay on a 68 acre tree farm with 8 Nigerian dwarf goats, 6 sheep & three chubby dogs. The farm was recently quoted by Vinton Soil Water Conservation as a wildlife mecca, perfect for anyone looking to reconnect with nature & relax. Various species of birds, hawks, owls, deer, wild turkeys, geese & occasional bobcat may be spotted. By booking a stay, you are agreeing to make a donation to The Stargazer Trust.

Equestrian Studio

Quaint in the hills of Southern Ohio. This studio apartment is a one bed room with a lovely view overlooking the outdoor horse riding arena. It offers a kitchenette and sitting area downstairs. Upstairs has a queen size bed over looking the riding arena. A country setting at it's best. Pet friendly. Trailer Parking available. Some weekends we host equine events. Horses and exhibitors will be around the facility. There is a horse arena in front and at times you can watch !

The Cottage

This is a rural location. Located on an open hill along a private drive, this newly built -"little house on the prairie"- is surrounded by fields on one end and woods on the other. Nothing but stars at night -no neighbors nearby. Trails and ponds are available for your enjoyment. Swimming* and fishing is encouraged in the warmer months. A small outdoor fire ring is nearby. Hiking in the woods on the far side of the field will be off limits last week of October through thanksgiving.

Water's Edge Apartment

Wish away your worries while staying at our Waters Edge Apartment. This space is located on our family property. Spacious 37 acre with a 6-acre pond centered in the middle. Star gaze at night and enjoy peaceful walks during the day. We are less than a mile from downtown McArthur, close to all the amenities. Just a short 30-minute drive to Old Mans Cave entrance and 22 minutes from Lake Hope. Feel free to fish in the pond. No swimming allowed. Catch and release only.

Located only 8 miles from Hocking Hills State Park, Altenbrauch Farm's 62-acre property features a mix of open fields, small streams, wooded hills and a lonely country road. Within a half-hour drive, there are many opportunities for hiking, biking, horseback riding, kayaking, hunting and fishing, and birding.

You can chill or get your groove on in this unique and spacious 70's themed apartment that is located above our early 1900's Hardware Store and Gift Shop. Enjoy a memorable visit when you stay in this unique place. 1 mile south of McArthur off Rt. 93. Have access to restaurants, grocery, & miscellaneous stores. Small cabin, sleeps 2, (queen bed). There is a hot tub for relaxing! Hot water & heat. Wi-Fi, air fryer, coffee,& full bath. Very comfy & cozy. Morning coffee on the porch, watching the swirls on the pond. Just relax & enjoy!
