Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Dubuque

We absolutely loved staying at Highland Place while visiting Dubuque for a family reunion. We loved the location, the architecture, design, accommodations and overall space. Would stay again!

I grew up in Saint donatus and know a lot of the locals down at Massey, it was an honor staying close to friends and family again. A remote location that captures the serenity and peacefulness of Iowa. I loved showing my wife and daughter the lands I used to call home.

Had a great time visiting with family. Comfortably fit 6 adults and one child. Stars were beautiful and fun watching the hot air balloons from the porch.

We had a great stay at the cabin for my brother’s bachelor party weekend. We played 2 golf courses, ate at one of the resort restaurants, and went downtown for dinner one night. It’s a 2 minute drive to the courses and 10 minutes to downtown. Great location that sat on one of the par 4s.

Perfect stay for our girls’ getaway! We stayed here to celebrate our bride-to-be, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The place was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was amazing—just a short distance from the shops in Galena, which made exploring so easy. It was the perfect spot to relax, enjoy time together, and make special memories. Highly recommend for any group looking for a charming and convenient stay!!

Gary’s place truly felt like home! We were in town for our son’s baseball tournament and this place was perfect for our needs. The house was clean, organized, spacious and comfortable. The keypad made it super smooth and easy to come and go. We were within 5-10 minutes of everywhere we wanted and needed to be while in Dubuque. To top it off, Gary was proactive in offering and accommodating a late checkout when he learned our son’s games were later afternoon on our day of departure. I can’t say enough good things - thanks for a perfect stay, Gary! We will definitely book again if we’re ever back in Dubuque :)

Joel’s place was absolutely beautiful! It was secluded and peaceful but also very close to down town. I loved drinking my coffee outside in the mornings it was so peaceful! I’d recommend Joel’s air bnb to anyone wanting to travel to galena. I’d go back in a heartbeat! Joel was a great host. He gave us all the information and checked In on us throughout our stay. We had a great time!

We had a lovely stay! The home was very clean and cozy, we felt right at home. The views of Dubuque are outstanding. The location was easy, almost everything we did was within 10-15 minutes. This was one of my favorite stays we've had, will definitely be back@

This is a gem of a property - the view of the Mississippi and lock from the terrace is the best in town. The penthouse suite is open and grand. This is our second time staying here, and we love it. Dave was easy to communicate with, helpful and flexible.

Excellent place

We truly enjoyed our stay! The location is excellent for walking to downtown attractions. The apartment is spacious, well kept, and up to date. We enjoyed pur stay, would definitely book again.

This was my fourth time staying at Sandys and each time is just as enjoyable as the last. Her new wallpaper in the kitchen, bedrooms, and master bath are beautiful. She has a real knack for decor. She's always super helpful, kind, and her breakfasts dont disappoint! If you're looking to relax in a peaceful setting, but still be close to downtown Galena, this is THE place to stay.

This condo is perfect for a little getaway. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, and utensils. The bed was comfortable! The jet tub was relaxing and perfect for 2 people! Downfall is that the shower head is VERY small and there’s a weird clunking behind the toilet, in the plumbing.

The room was exactly as advertised and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

This place was absolutely wonderful! Location.....Perfect! Beds so comfy!! Yes please!! You walk right down the stairs and out you are on Main St. with all the best shops and restaurants! The people were so friendly and the vibe to the place and the town will have you hooked liked us!! We loved it so much we are planning in the fall doing a comeback! ❤️❤️❤️

Excellent experience. This home is magnificent! We had a group of 11 girls, the size, layout and details of this home are truly spectacular. We enjoyed the large balcony, the spacious rooms, and the beds are so comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. Each bedroom has its own bathroom- great for 11 girls getting ready. The location is perfect - remote, peaceful but only 15 minutes from downtown Galena. Kapil, our host was great! Very responsive and helpful and kind. Made sure we had everything we needed. They take wonderful care of this home. Great experience overall! Can’t wait to go back!

We loved our stay! The cabin was affordable, clean & even better in person. My kids had a great time & as a not-so outdoorsy family, it gave us the perfect balance of comfort & nature. Highly recommend!

Beth was very communicative before and during our stay. The house was nicely decorated, and furnished clean and exactly as we expected. I appreciated that we were able to leave without starting laundry, dishwashers, etc. The kitchen had a lot of useful utensils and supplies. We didn't do much cooking, but we could have easily prepared most anything we wanted. The beds and furniture was very comfortable. There were plenty of games and activities to do at the house; we did not utilize the community rec areas, but that was only due to our own agenda and time limitations. My only recommendation would be that blackout curtains in the bedrooms would have been greatly appreciated. I was up at 5:30am some mornings because of light pouring into the bedroom on the main floor.

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay! The home was warm and welcoming, stocked with all the appliances and amenities we could need—and then some. There were plenty of cozy spots to relax and unwind. If you're after a scenic, private retreat, this is the place. Our family loved spending time on the patio, soaking in the sounds of nature. It's conveniently close to town, has great walking trails nearby, and makes for a perfect weekend escape.

Our family had a wonderful time at the Mississippi Waterfront cabin. It was secluded (in the winter time) with plenty of space for the kids to go outside and play. The listing showed 2 bedrooms, but there is a 3rd private bedroom in the basement that made this an extra good value.

Cute little cabin. It isn't as remote as I had hoped based on the pictures. You drive past three houses in same driveway to get to it. BUT it is in the back and trees seperate so you can't see the neighbors. We didn't hear anyone either which was nice. Very cute little cabin, had everything we needed.

The Owl A-frame was so beautiful, peaceful, and private! It was very clean and had everything we needed. We’ll definitely be coming back next time we take a Galena trip!

We planned a really impromptu trip (i.e. booked our AirBNB while in the car to extend a little bit of a road trip) and lucked out with this place. We have 3 young boys, who always want an adventure, and so this cabin gave us a nice little taste of everything. There was the river pretty much immediately out the front of the cabin to enjoy. My brother and his kids (Bellevue residents) came over and kids were able to catch fish off the dock and play in the sand. The kids also enjoyed the jacuzzi tub when time to clean up. All in all, a cute and cozy little spot to be able to enjoy some of the best of what Bellevue has to offer!
