House vacation rentals in Dubuque

This is our 2nd time staying at James's beautiful Galena home. James thought of everything. All the kitchen appliances that you need to make your meals. Plenty of room for everyone. James was quick to respond and very helpful. We plan to stay here again.

Tom and Jill are wonderful hosts who opened up their lovely home for a weekend with friends. We had more than enough space for 2 families. The home was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was also well stocked for meals we organized. It was a pleasure to stay in the house.

Brian and Jonny were very responsive and communicative from beginning to end. It was a last minute trip and we were lucky to find a pet friendly place during the start of the summer season. The house was clean, cozy and close to walking trails. Although we did not take advantage of the outdoor grill or hot tub (they have a wood burning fireplace for the winter), we enjoyed the screened in porch and open concept layout of the house, as pictured in the profile. The house is situated between two other houses blocked somewhat by the trees. I would describe as semi-private where we could see their back patio/hot tub/fire pit and vice versa. But whatever your personal comfort level, you can’t beat the proximity to trails, Owners Club, and easy access to Hwy 20 to Galena! We enjoyed our stay and exploring!

We had such a great time! We took the whole family (10 people) and there was plenty of room. The basement was great for keeping the kids entertained. They were wore out from playing video games, air hockey, basketball, and hot rubbing. The area has beautiful views, and feels very private even though there are houses close buy - which we prefer just in case we would need help. We all wished we could have stayed longer! We highly recommend and will definitely be back!

We had the absolute best time at The Treehouse. It was truly one of the most spectacular places we’ve ever stayed! From the moment we arrived, it felt like the perfect home for a family getaway. The house had everything we could have possibly needed for comfort, fun, and quality time together. It was sparkling clean, beautifully maintained, and the views were just breathtaking. Our hosts were wonderful. They were so kind, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay. We especially loved relaxing by the fire pit, unwinding in the hot tub, and enjoying the peaceful screened-in porch. It was the perfect balance of cozy and fun! Beyond the amazing home itself, Galena had so much to offer. We had a great time exploring the town, dining at local restaurants, shopping, and just soaking in the charm of the area. We’re so grateful for our stay at The Treehouse and can’t recommend it highly enough. We’re already hoping to return for another family gathering next year!

This home had everything needed to have a relaxing vacation. Its always difficult to find a nice home that allows pets. We enjoyed morning coffee on the back deck which reminded us of being in a treehouse. We walked our dogs around this peaceful neighborhood while enjoying all the wild flowers. We came home rested and relaxed!

We had a great stay at the cabin for my brother’s bachelor party weekend. We played 2 golf courses, ate at one of the resort restaurants, and went downtown for dinner one night. It’s a 2 minute drive to the courses and 10 minutes to downtown. Great location that sat on one of the par 4s.

Stayed here for a girl’s trip! The home is lovely. The game room downstairs was a blast. The deck in back was perfect for drinks and conversation at night and calm morning coffee in the morning! Todd is quick to respond if anything is needed. Would definitely go back

This was our second time at Ho Hum East and we had a great time! The new deck updates were super nice adding outdoor space to layout food and enjoy most meals on the deck. The outdoor kitchen wasn't completed yet but, will be a great addition to the new deck when it's done. The main bath was newly remodeled and was very nice and spacious. The lake front was well maintained and a great space for us to spend most of our time enjoying the water, sun, fishing, boating, nature and wildlife. The dock was a little wobbly although, we were told that was being replaced at some point but it worked for us. The airbnb owner provided a paddleboard, rubber raft, corn hole boards and other outdoor items to use. The proximity of the home was only a few minutes from amenities i.e. pool, golf course, beach and The Cove (restaurant). The only drawback is all the steps - it would be great if there was a pulley system or other system to take items up and down the steps from the house to the lake front.

The condo was immaculate and comfortable. Check in was easy and the host provided helpful information about finding the local store as well as a route suggestion to avoid exiting the neighborhood on a blind curve. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for a sister getaway and had a blast exploring the area. This home was a perfect spot to spend time relaxing together. It was super cozy and had everything we needed!

Such a beautiful property! The house was very clean, lots of space, and a fun game room. Kyle was easy to communicate with and responsive! We plan to book another trip soon!

I visited Linda's place with a big group of friends including three kiddos and it was absolutely perfect! Plenty of space for everyone and a ton of things to do on the property. The location was easy to get to and close to the downtown Galena area. The pictures really don't do the house justice. It's beautiful with a lot of space. Leading up the trip and during I had several questions. Responses always came super quickly (usually under 5 minutes). She was a delight to talk to worked to make sure our trip went perfectly. I'd highly recommend this property to anyone looking to visit the Galena area. Everyone in my group would 100% return.

This place was exactly what we were looking for. We had a group of 9 coming from different cities, all meet at this beautiful location. Check-in was flawless and the entire house was spotless when we arrived. There was plenty of space to accommodate our entire group and we immediately felt right at home. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous. We enjoyed time on the deck in front of the gas fire as well as the spacious fire pit just off the house. The yard was plenty big for games and although we had beautiful weather during our trip, we had a big theatre room to ourselves when we wanted some inside time. Our host was very helpful from start to finish. We always got a quick response and he worked with us to make sure our trip was special. We highly recommend this spot and would love to come back someday.

Danesa was a fantastic host and was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. The Cliffside Cottage was everything the listing said it would be and more. Not only was the house gorgeous, but the layout was so well thought out and gave our party of 9 plenty of space to enjoy without being on top of each other. The highlight of the house was the screened in porch. It was truly such a peaceful place to sit and listen to the birds or to watch the rain come down without any pesty bugs or mosquitos. We could have spent hours and hours sitting there enjoying the incredible views while enjoying each others company. Other highlights included the well stocked kitchen (truly everything you could need and more), the location (close enough to enjoy Galena, but far enough away to feel as if you are the only ones around for miles) and the outdoor space which was perfect for fires and stargazing. We truly loved this house and would love to come back one day to experience it in a different season.

Thank you for a lovely place to stay! It was quiet and clean. The AC worked great during the extreme heat. I love that there were ceiling fans! We slept great!

My immediate family was looking for a location near Asbury for a extended family event and this location was excellent. It was easy to get to, plenty of privacy and quiet for our family. The house had a lot of space for my adult children and there two young boys. Having three living spaces to spread out was ideal. The house was extremely clean and well maintained. I just wish we could have spent more time to there. Mark was responded quickly to any messages we sent and were thankful that this house was available. I think anyone coming to town for the Dubuque County Fair would love the location.

Meg's place was a very comfortable and a great place to work from for the week while my son was a day camper at Loras Sports Camp. The house was a quaint old home, nicely remodeled, with a comfortable work-space and all the necessary amenities to make it easy to settle in for a productive week. Appreciated Meg's extra touches of fresh cut flowers and a binder of information with local recommendations!

Really enjoyed this space!! It was very thoughtfully appointed. Chris left a bag of ice and a case of water cold in the fridge, a nice touch, as it was sweltering. Took the kayak out, lots of herons, goslings, and pelicans, along with turtles. Beds were super comfortable, place was immaculate. Would definitely stay again, even tried to extend this stay, but it was booked.…

Needed a home base for the weekend of a funeral, which happened to be at the cemetery across the street. Quiet neighborhood. Really walkable, which was great with our dog. With the heat advisory, we were walking her really early in the day and really late at night and never once felt unsafe. House was honestly just as good as we expected, somehow even more. Really unique and really cute. Plenty of space for us all to spread out and do our own thing or break off into little groups to do various things - but easy to all be together, too. I was put in charge of finding the Airbnb and this one was so good that everybody is making it my job for now on. Definitely recommend the stay and if we’re ever back in Dubuque, I’d definitely stay here again. Good recommendations and appreciate all the work they put into the house.

We have stayed at Ashley’s place multiple times now and will continue to do so. It is always clean and welcoming. Ashley provides so many extra touches that go above and beyond traditional hospitality. She is always working to continually improve the home and my family, from the dog to the toddler, always feel at home.

Ken was very proactive and was clear with all instructions. He answered messages very quickly and professionally. The house was clean and comfortable. It had all of the important stuff for a comfortable stay and we had everything we needed. We didn’t use the washer and dryer but this would be a great place for an extended stay. There were also walkable restaurants and shops. It was quiet where we stayed and we felt safe. Really excellent place and we would book again in a heartbeat.
