Monthly Rentals in Drakes Island Beach

Overall, the Crab House was a great place to spend our week-long vacation. You can't beat the location. It's right on the beach with beautiful views of - and easy access to - the ocean. The house is VERY clean and has a lovely, fresh smell to it. I'm very particular when it comes to cleanliness and often have to spend the first day of our vacations cleaning our rental. But not here!! It's nice and well-appointed, but comfortable/modest enough where I wouldn't have worried about having my grandchildren there. One thing that wasn't problematic for us, but might be for others: The master bedroom suite/top level is visually private, but doesn't have a door to it. So, you can hear everyone on the main level (and they can hear you). It also results in the master bedroom being warmer than the other levels. Our friends staying in the lower-level bedroom were cold and wanted the heat on, but that prevented us from using the A/C. Opening the master suite windows fixed that problem for us.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ben’s place. It truly felt like a home away from home from the moment we arrived. The location was perfect, being so close to the beach allowed us to enjoy daily walks. We also appreciated your friendly demeanor and quick responses to any questions we had. The snow was a bit unexpected, but you were always on top of it. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would absolutely recommend your place to others. Thanks again for everything!

This is our third time staying at this house. We truly love it. It’s a breathtaking location, quiet, always clean, and well furnished. We can tell they have made a few updates since we’ve last stayed - which is always nice to see because you can tell they put effort into making this a memorable and stunning house. We normally have stayed just myself and wife - but this time we invited my wife’s parents and brother. We had a great time . It’s a perfect house for movie nights, board games, cooking, and just hanging out while still having your own space to relax. Each of us had our own bedroom with a bathroom (which makes a huge difference.) We also loved being able to go for a walk on the quiet beach whenever we felt like it. Will definitely be back!

We were two couples sharing the cottage and all really liked the location (zen and quiet but not boring). The kitchen is relatively well equipped, the armchair and sofa are comfortable. The entrance via a mini solarium is just spacious enough to break the crust; we had dinner there twice. Each cottage is equipped with a picnic table and BBQ that have rendered us proud services. Our two bikes found space in the solarium entrance. If we come back to Wells, we will book this place again! Thanks Laura!:)
