What an amazing place! Susan’s home was lovely and located on a beautiful dairy farm. We were immediately welcome by her cats Lucky and Clover (who we adopted for our stay). Susan was always available to answer our questions and took us on a tour of the farm to meet the cows. The house was about 7 minutes from a great village called cockermouth which had pubs, restaurants and many bakeries. A little further and you are in keswick which is one of the bigger towns. We took a boat from there across derwentwater to the famous Catbells and also took a rowboat out on the lake. We also went for a beautiful walk around buttermere lake and a hike into the borrowdale valley. And we even popped over the border into Scotland. It was an amazing trip and a wonderful place to stay. Thank you Susan!!

We wanted to stay somewhere quiet with our dog for a nice relaxing long weekend away from the usual tourist spots. We weren't disappointed. This place is nicely hidden away but a great base to visit lots of different lakes. We had no issue taking our dog nacho, infact they left towels, treats and a bowl so he felt right at home. The place was not only quiet and off the beaten track which we prefer, but it was absolutely spotless!! The attention to detail is really lovely. From the eggs left, to the quality of toiletries and kitchen utensils provided. We cooked all the evenings we were there and had everything we needed. We had a lovely break in a very high quality gem that Adrian and Yvonne have created. Hosts were really friendly and accommodating. Nacho even made friends with their labs. We will be back! Thank you!
