I spent a glorious month at Maria Celeste’s home. It was simply the best place to reset, connect with nature & rest. I’ve never been to a more peaceful home. Freshly squeezed orange juice (from trees) every morning. Lemons for water. A natural spring to swim off hiking grime. Mountains to climb surrounding the entire home. Lizard & butterfly friends. And so so quiet. Maria Celeste picked me up & drove me to the location. Taxi services available to go to town when needed. I can not recommend staying at this home more. If you need some R’n’R, stay. You won’t regret it.

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour dans la "Casa da Mata". Perdue au cœur du domaine viticole et en lisière de forêt, cette maison pleine du charme de l'ancien, bien rénovée et tout confort, est parfaite. Chaque pièce possède une belle vue ! Mais la plus belle vue reste celle depuis la terrasse où nous prenions tous nos repas. Nous avons aussi adoré nos échanges avec Fernanda, la meilleure hôte que vous pouvez espérer. Et sa cuisine est un délice ! Fernanda nous régalait de bons produits du jardin, tomates figues & œufs.. Et du très bon pain, amené chaque matin !!! Nous ne pouvons que la remercier à nouveau pour sa gentillesse. Nous garderons longtemps en tête cette belle semaine perchée sur les hauteurs du Douro. J'oubliais : la piscine et les espaces communs ont également ajouté une belle plus value à cette semaine.

Amazing location with incredible views. Beautiful property with great interior design and well chosen artwork, sympathetic to the original school. Thanks to Tania and Carla for the care and attention and for the outstanding breakfast each day. And for doing a shop for us on the first day before our arrival. We would definitely recommend the chef at home meal. Great food and service by the guys with traditional Portuguese dishes on offer. Fantastic stay; we didn’t want to leave….ever! Outstanding! Fantastic stay at Ricardo's villa! Beautiful pool and villa setup in an incredibly secluded part of the countryside. We went as a group of eight in our late twenties - we didn't have a car so Ricardo organised a taxi for us to get around that was incredibly helpful, including to get down into the village to visit the INCREDIBLE Tasquinha do Tio Miguel! We will be back! Xxx

Abi and Regina are exceptional hosts who made our stay memorable. We especially enjoyed the tour of the animation museum by Abi which was fascinating The property is very lovely, the flower and vegetable gardens are incredible and the whole ambience is very relaxing. A perfect place to stay for several days. We thoroughly recommend staying here and look forward to returning

Reservei o espaço para uma despedida de solteiro. Posso afirmar que todas as 11 pessoas ficaram extremamente contentes com a casa, disponibilidade do sr. Marcos e restante equipa, limpeza, comodidades e principalmente a localização da casa. Era exatamente o que procurávamos, para o tipo de férias que queríamos fazer. Fomos sempre muito bem aconselhados, informados, bem recebidos, não nos faltou nada. Uma terra linda, com atividades e locais de visita obrigatórios. Uma boa relação preço-qualidade para quem procura um bonito refúgio da vida de cidade. Muito obrigado. Voltaremos.

Excellent location to get away from the hustle of the city and unwind in the country side. Fully functional kitchen and pool was nice.

Surribes was fantastic. It was exactly as it looked in the photos, comfortable and great for a relaxing stay. Rita was a great host, checked us in smoothly and on hand to answer questions. Happy to recommend.

Estadia incrível com uma anfitriã ainda mais incrível 🥹 Tenho de destacar a simpatia e disponibilidade da Inês do início ao fim. O espaço é exatamente o que promete: calmo, relaxante e único! Com muitos recantos para descobrir, animais simpáticos, piscina incrível e natureza em estado puro! Não encontrávamos um espaço que permitisse entrada do nosso cão na piscina e a Quinta da Emília permitiu e fez com que a experiência do Joca fosse ainda melhor! Além disto, ainda pudemos receber família, incluindo o nosso afilhado de 2 anos, que também tirou bastante proveito de tudo o que a quinta tem para oferecer 😊 ahh! Ainda "roubamos" uns pêssegos para trazer de recordação 🤭 Foi incrível e recomendamos muito!!! 😁 Um obrigado gigante à Inês ❤️

Super séjour avec nos deux chiennes ! Le paysage est magnifique. La maison pleine d'histoires. La piscine est un vrai plus. Le voisinage est très amical. Il y a deux nombreuses balades à faire dans les environs et beaucoup avec des coin de baignade. On recommande a 100% !

Beautiful apartment in a stunning location. Wonderful beds and linen. Pool was very well kept and great for a refreshing dip. Hosts were very friendly and had great recomendations. The view across the valley was outstanding. Short drive to Pinhao. The owners offered us their own wine and port which was delicious.

Wonderful place and even better service. Hospitality of Annette and Richard was spot on! Very nice people. They make sure that you’ll at home. We enjoyed the surroundings, the privacy, and the friendly encounters. It was a pleasure to be here! Would recommend it to anyone.

What a gorgeous stay - we loved it!! So peaceful and beautiful views. We stayed for 5 nights, so we had a nice balance of chilling by the pool and then visiting places like Pinhão. We booked on for the vineyard and farm tour which Moises gave and he was absolutely amazing, so knowledgeable and friendly 10/10 - it’s a must if you stay at the vineyard as it provides you with all the history of the place and of course tasting the wine with was made right there. We went to Alijó a few nights for dinner and ate in a couple of nights too as the kitchen has everything you need. The breakfast hampers were an excellent touch too and amazing it’s all so local. The local hike round there is amazing too - fully recommended. It’s 10km and can be walked from the vineyard itself. All in all the most fantastic stay with the most fantastic hosts. Thank you we both loved it!

Simplesmente encantada, tudo muito limpo, silêncio, a área da piscina incrível tanto dia quanto anoite, anfitrião e seus funcionários super comunicativos, e atenciosos. Indico de olhos fechados.

Very nice place! , we orderd a bottle of wine from the restaurant. It was a local wine from de douro valley, you can imagine the completeness of the douro experience at the pool with a view over the landscape. Good luck!

We absolutely loved staying here. Ricardo was super friendly and helpful. Quinta Freiera is a stunning farm with loads of grape vines, lemon trees, orange trees, passion fruit, etc. It was so special to stay in a house that has been in his family for over 200 years. I highly recommend this quinta!

The whole place is amazing, very quiet and peaceful, good for a nice vacation or a quick getaway! The property is well maintained and there’s a lot of different things to do inside. The host is very nice and really helpful, it was great and we are happy to come back again!

Schön eingerichtetes, sauberes Haus mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Die Lage ist äußerst ruhig sodass man das Gefühl hat das einzige Haus im Umkreis zu sein. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und der Pool groß genug zum Schwimmen. Die Kommunikation mit Carla gestaltet sich unkompliziert und freundlich, wir hatten jederzeit das Gefühl uns bei Problemen an sie wenden zu können. Wir haben jede Sekunde genossen und es gibt nicht das Geringste auszusetzen. Sollten wir uns wieder für Portugal entscheiden wird die Unterkunft und Carla wieder unsere erste Wahl sein.

Das Haus mit Garten, Hühnern, Katzen und Truthähne kamen uns vor wie ein kleines Paradies. Unglaublich charmant haben wir den Pool genossen und konnten mit der Ausstattung lecker kochen. Es ist unglaublich grün in der Gegend und ein Bad im Fluss (Lima) war eine wunderbare Erfahrung. Ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um in die Berge zu fahren oder an die Küste, ebenso süße Städtchen drumherum und auch nicht weit von Porto entfernt. Wir können die Unterkunft absolut empfehlen und waren alle total zufrieden. Genießt den Ort und die Zeit dort, es fällt gar nicht schwer.

I can't say enough about how incredible this Airbnb was, Carla and her property were so beyond expectations. My family and I felt extremely comfortable there, it is remote but absolutely beautiful. We were not able to use the pool, because the weather was a little bit cold. I jumped in for like 20 minutes and even though it was cold it was very nice. Carla was so communicative the entire time we were there, she made lots of helpful suggestions and helped us to book a tour around the Douro Valley and surrounding areas. She and a friend also cooked us breakfast every morning, which was delicious and helped us to start our day. 10 out of 10, I would absolutely return.

This home is absolutely beautiful, we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. Everything we could possibly need was there, from a fully equipped kitchen to thoughtful touches throughout the house and garden. It was spotless, and we especially appreciated the fresh citrus and eggs from the birds next to the property waiting for us. Carolina and her husband are exceptional hosts, warm, generous, and incredibly helpful. All their recommendations were perfect. Do note that a car is essential, and confident driving is a must in the area. The game room with the pool table was a great bonus, especially on rainy days. The nature, the views, and the garden were all stunning. Our only regret was not staying longer.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is fantastic - not far from Braga but also close to peaceful nature. We would recommend booking the pool house - or both houses - if you want easy access to the pool when there's other people staying. We stayed in the garden house, which we liked. It's cool in the heat, the bedrooms are nice, and the yard and property are really pretty. And, as mentioned, the place is a great base to travel to interesting places in the local area and beyond.
