Vacation rentals with a pool in Douro

This is a very special place with beauty everywhere you look including the architecture of the house utilising the natural materials of the region to blend into the landscape. Francisca cooked us a delicious three course meal including wine, delivered on a tray on our first night what a treat ! On Francisca’s recommendation we had a very authentic wine and food tour with Bambuti Tours we were overwhelmed with Portugal hospitality for the day and Viewed some amazing scenery, a great way to explore the valley. Casa Do Largo is situated in some of the most beautiful scenery in the valley and we enjoyed a whole day there , with a walk to the beautiful river first then a day enjoying the pool and the most comfortable home. This has been our favourite spot in Portugal and we would highly recommended you book it for at least 3 nights.

It felt like home when we returned after 6 six years. The place of Laurence & Jorge is in line with the pictures and the view is amazing. The house has everything you need, we really loved the mattresses and the pillows. The house is surrounded by a large garden, and we liked the privacy and the fruit trees in the garden. Getting into the house is easy and communication is perfect. We will definitely return again! We recommend to do some groceries before you arrive, the nearest supermarket is a 15 min drive away. Rafael's place is absolutely gorgeous! On arrival, he gave us a warm tour and shared the property's history—fascinating. It's beautifully restored, surrounded by trees offering total privacy. His dad keeps bees nearby (we could’ve visited) and grows cherries, lemons, and oranges—he encouraged us to help ourselves, and they were delicious. The property was perfect for two, with a well-appointed bathroom, living area, and a private pool—compact but fits four comfortably. Rafael was super attentive and responsive, a brilliant host who clearly takes pride in the place. A few minor notes: the pool has no cover or hoover, so needs a quick skim due to nearby trees (his dad cleans it regularly); there are only 3 loungers and 2 extra chairs at the front; and indoor seating isn’t the comfiest for four, with 2 chairs being wicker which differs from the listing. These aren’t real negatives—just things to note. Amazing value and we’d love to return when we're back in the area!

Beautiful villa, even more beautiful than in the pictures!! Peaceful and private place. Great for a family vacation, our children really enjoyed it. Great host, professional, friendly, very responsive. I recommend it 1000%

An amazing place to stay! The flat was lovely and clean, shower was nice and big and the bed was super comfy. Made the most of it being a ground floor flat by sunbathing just outside the little patio area and walking straight to the pool for a dip. Also a great location to walk into town for either the beach, shops or restaurants. Not too far to walk to the supermarket for food either. Adelina was always super quick to reply to messages, and was exceptionally friendly and helpful anytime we did message. Cannot recommend enough!!

Amazing apartment with a lovely sense of space and air. Lovely little swimming pool too. There was a little noise from some construction next door but the host was helpful around that.

All I can say is wow! We spent 11 days staying at Adriano’s apartment and it felt like home! I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in such a well equipped Air BnB. If you could think of it, Adriano had it. In the bathroom there was shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hair dryer and hair straighteners. In the kitchen there was every utensil you could think of and more, I think you could cook a full Sunday roast dinner and have every pan and dish required! We are a family of four, with children aged 5 and 7. They made the most of the swimming pool during our stay and the beach. The pool is cool but refreshing. The sea was like ice but we made good games of jumping the waves and splashing one another. The beach is less than a five minute walk from the apartment and is a must during your stay, even if it’s just to watch the surfers fight the waves. It’s a very peaceful beach! Adriano is a great host and very helpful. We will be looking to stay again if we come back to the area!

The apartment is very beautiful and in a great central area. We went everywhere by foot. The communication with Daniel was perfect, he is very nice and responded quickly. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed. We received extensive explanations about the area and the apartment. Nothing was too much. Plus were the 2 bikes we were allowed to use to visit the city of Porto. Owner is very attentive and helpful. Should we wish to visit Porto again, we will definitely take this accommodation again!

A true haven of peace and regeneration! I had the privilege of enjoying an absolutely memorable stay in a simply wonderful place. The combination of the surrounding nature with the available amenities — swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna — provided unique moments of well-being and tranquility. It was an experience marked by peace, silence and comfort, perfect for disconnecting from the world and renewing energy. The moments together were even more special thanks to the welcoming and thoughtful atmosphere of this space. I leave with the feeling of having really rested, body and mind. A place I wholeheartedly recommend and where I undoubtedly hope to return.

Amazing host and lovely apartment ! Maurício could not have nicer or more helpful - he was definitely the highlight of my stay. From meeting you at check in to giving local recommendations to going above and beyond to make sure the apartment was in perfect condition. For the apartment, I appreciated the heating, comfortable bed and sofa, good wifi, and lovely views from the balcony. Having the beach only a couple minutes’ walk is a real plus that both my dog and I enjoyed. Because there is so much to do in the area I didn’t use the pool/gym as I planned, but it looked really nice. Finally I found the locals quite friendly on walks around, which I appreciated. If you’re thinking of a stay, book without hesitation!

Our stay was excellent! Elsa was over the top in every way! We had a gift of wine and custard tarts when we got there, Elsa arranged a reservation at an amazing restaurant and she responded quickly to any inquiry. Would definitely come back to this beautiful sanctuary.
